I keep hearing my phone ring-am I going crazy?!

Question: I keep hearing my phone ring-am I going crazy!?
For the past 4 to 5 days, I keep hearing my phone ring!. Its the razr's fanfare ringtone, and ill just hear it randomly throughout the day!. I changed the ringer to something completely different and also tried putting it on vibrate, so I know its not the phone acting up!. My boyfriend says I should see my doctor, but I don't think its that extreme!. Does anyone know what could be causing this or how I can stop it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I actually read somewhere that this is becoming a common affliction!.

It's just a trick of the mind!. Nothing to worry about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ahhh!! I feel your pain! I had just some annoying Beep Beep cell phone ringtone, and I heard it all the time!. I was in the shower once, and It went off, and I picked it up and then went back in the shower!. I opened the shower door litterally every 5 seconds because i kept thinking the phone was going off, even though I could see it on the counter from inside the shower, and It wasn't lighting up!.

I have a new phone with a new ringtone (actual song ringtones) And I keep thinking I'm hearing it too!. I always open my purse a million times to check the phone!.

I noticed sometimes It is worse than others!. It is annoying, but hasn't actually gotten in my way of life, other than that time I was in the shower!. I think that if you keep the phone on silent for a really long time, It should eventually stop "ringing"!. I have alot less people call me than I used to and I dont get the fake noises as much as i used to!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Are you actually hearing it, or just thinking it!? It sounds like you're hearing it!. I've had the same thing happen!. I have a unique ring tone I composed myself and sometimes I hear it fast, slowly, whatever, but I just think it's funny!.

I'm also psychotic!.

But don't fret!. Did you know that 4% of all people have auditory hallucinations, and only 25% think it's something to complain about!? Many people lead perfectly normal lives hearing things, and if it's not causing you any trouble -- and here's where I disagree with most docs -- don't worry about it!.

And antipsychotics sap your soul, trust me!. I'm on one, Abilify, but it doesn't work!. Thank whatever!.

Of course, if your symptoms worsen, and you get paranoid or otherwise delusional, get help!. Communicate openly with your boyfriend about this!. I'm serious!.

Still, no harm yet!. If it irritates you enough, though, seek help anyway!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

that happened to me - I had to dig the sound out with a screwdriver!. but make sure you dig in the ear you hear the sound the loudest!. Sometimes I hear voices like the phone was answered!. they told me to hurt people!.!.!. the voices told me to vote for Hillary and that would hurt more people than anything else I could do!. Must stop the voices----Www@Answer-Health@Com

next time you hear it, try asking someone else if they hear it too, if they do, then your normal, if they don't, then yeah, go to the doctor to get some helpWww@Answer-Health@Com

My psychiatrist told me that it is the expectation that I had in my brain for the phone to ring!. Cut the phone off and leave it at home for a few days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
