Question: Okay I have serious depression what do I do!?
Okay I'm on this medication called abilify and I see a counselor, and a therapist, but still I am almost always depressed!. I've tried to lighten up when I'm with my friends, but it's hard!. They want to help but they think I should just be able to "get over it!." Which I can't cause my depression is chronic!. I also have bipolar!. I have recently had times where I get so sad and angry all I can do is listen to music and sit!. It makes it really hard to maintain my life!. My closest friends are the only ones who have stuck by me but they don't understand!. I have been in the hospital 2 times for wanting to kill myself!. I don't want to kill myself anymore, but I want to die!. How can I help myself and let others help me!? I hate feeling like this!. HELP!!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh Honey, I'm sorry to hear you have all these problems!. Ok, first thing is you should probably talk to your doctor about changing your medication!. It seems like your meds are either not working correctly on you or the dosage is not high enough, I used to be on depression meds!. I was taking Zoloft 10mg!. and it helped alot!. I've been off it for a while now and I'm fine,(NOW)!. I'm not saying this to be mean at all, but I have to ask you if your being totally honest with your counselor about your feelings!? I know when I first started going I wasn't completely honest and the sessions didn't help until I let go, and told him everything I was feeling!. I'm not a professional but, I will be here for you if you ever need to talk about anything!. I might not be able to get back to you right away because I work and have 4 kids but, I'm home by 4:30pm every day and once I'm home my messenger is on!. I really do think you need to be completely honest w/ your counselor though!. If it's someone that you feel you can't open up to, then request to change your counselor!. You have a legal right to do that!. I really think your meds aren't strong enough, or you need different ones!. They're supposed to help keep you from feelilng like this!. Ihope this helps a little!. look i have alot of times when i say i can't deal with this pain no more i want to die!. but yo you gotta understand that God is here for you!. have you prayed about it!? you should God answers prayers, and yea he might take a while to do it but the Lord is always there!. i tend to calm down when i just pray to God and tell him all my feelings!.God bless and take care =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sometimes the medications need to be adjusted!. You have Bipolar (which includes depression), depression is not a seperate illness!. Exercise helps with depression, it stimulates the endorphins and makes you feel much better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

How long have you been on this medication!? Depression medication usually doesn't work right away, it might take as long as 2 months to start working!. You should bring it up with your doctor that the medication is not working for you if it is the case!.
Also, are you workign out or getting some kind of exercise!? Even if you don't feel like it and feel that it's pointless, you should make yourself do it at least twice a week!. Ignore the fact that you don't enjoy it!. You really need it because during the exercise your body produces the right kind of chemicals that your brain needs to return to normal!.
With this desease, you need a lot of patience, but trust me it gets better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

First take a deep breath let it out then take another normal breath in I know this may sound like a therapist but it helps slow your heart rate and oxygenates your blood and helps you relax!. Second find somewhere where you can relax anytime you need to!. Talk to your friends and tell them what your going through they should understand!. One last thing a good quote for you "There is always something to live for!. But you have to get over the tough mountain to get there!." Just remember that giving it time you will get better!. I am with you here, i know how hard it is when everything just seems so bad, and you cant explain why it just is! Im glad youve got close friends and your seeking help, this shows that you want to change which shows you have the will to do it!. Is their soemthing underneath that makes you feel like this, or things or thoughts that your hiding!? If so get them out tell soemone, becasue afterall isnt it better to get it all out than have it end forever!. I think you need a new start, and a way of putting the bad things behind you, because thats the key to moving on and being happy!. Sadly happyiness isnt soemthing you can wait around to come, its soemthing you have to find in yourself, and put in your own life, and alot of people don't know how to do this!. Realose exactly what you want to change, not just i want to be happy, the things that make you sad!. Think of the things that you want to do, you want to acheive, you want to do! Whatever you do fight down the urge to say but i cant do that, theres no such thing as cant you just have believe in yourself!. As a famous quote goes, reach for the moon, if you fail atleast youll land in the stars!. Your friends are there for you, and even thouhg it seems like they dont understand, do they need to!? They know you hurt, and they want to help, they don;t need to feel what you do to be there for you!. Hold your head high and do what you need to bring the things into your life that will make you happy, you know the routes that dont lead there so dont go down them again :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

you should get more physical excersise, like on a daily basis!. working out and playing sports gets your body to produce natural "feel-good" hormones called endorphines!. these stimulate you and make you feel better and less depressed!. to be honest, taking medicines prescribed by a doctor just make doctors and parmacy companies rich, and does little to help you!. your best bet is to deal with this in a natural way!. the human body is an amazing machine that has been around for millions of years prior to anti depression medicines!. the human body creates natural medicines all on it's own, to serve the very purpose you describe!. it's just that doctors don't get rich by telling you these things!. join a gym or take up daily swimming, bicycling, running, whatever!. just get the blood pumping, and i bet you will not only feel better physically, but also mentally/emotionally!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
