How do i know if 20mg adderall is enough for me?!

Question: How do i know if 20mg adderall is enough for me!?
two days ago i was prescribed 20 mg adderall for my add, its the first medication i have ever taken for this and i was actually just diagnosed a week or two ago!. I have taken the adderall once a day for two days, and it hasnt really done anything!. i felt i could get up and do tasks easier, but say reading, watching tv, just going through my day it hasnt helped very much, my mind is still racing all the time but the doc says it may take a week!. SO, can anyone tell me if i should expect the medication to start working better, or if i should just request a higher dose!?

anyone with expeirience of this medication please tell me your stories and what i should expect and all that good stuff!. thank you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Are you on 20 mg!. XR!? You'll eventually start to notice that you are able to concentrate better, reading is easier, you're more focused!. It took me a long time to start to get organized!. After about 2 years I had to have it increased!. I'm on 40 mg!. XR with 10 mg!. regular in the afternoon!. I'm still learning how to deal with ADD but I would probably die if i had to get off if it!. It's the only way I stay organized and go to work!. You don't say how old you are!. Depending on your age and weight you'll probably get it increased!. My shrink specifically told me that it would take a while for me to see any results!. He was right!. Just like with any med, it's all trial and error!. Ritalin put me to sleep!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've taken medicine before for my ADHD!. 20mg is acutally higher then people usually start med!. You need to try it for at least a month!. Your body needs to get use to it!. Trust me, the side effects will get worse if you up it too soon!.listen to your doctor!. Just relax and get use to the meds!. I use to take 70mg but it took a long time to get up to that point
good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your doctor should have told you that it takes up to 3 weeks to work into your system!. Be patient!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
