Answers:
Don't be scared!. You can do well and you will be proud of yourself when it's over!. Being a nurse is more than worth the pain of A&P!.

Honestly, though,it is not an easy class!. It weeds out a lot of people!. But it is entirely doable!. If you really want to be a nurse, you will have to commit yourself to doing well!.

Don't be afraid to ask the instructors for advice on how to do well!. They've seen it all and know first hand how best to succeed!.

Some schools split the course into a class of anatomy and a class of physiology (in semester based schools)!. Some schools teach the anatomy and physiology together but take two semesters to cover the entire body!. Other schools try other schemes but these are the most common ways to teach A&P!.

Anatomy is heavily weighted toward memorization of terms, and recognition of structures!. Physiology also requires a lot of memorization but is more directly concerned with how the body functions!.

There tend to be a lot of case studies and discussions of disease processes and such!. Most nursing students actually find a lot to be interested in!.

But success requires taking the class seriously and actually doing all the things that you hear about!. I will list a number of things that will make this class a lot easier for you!.

1!. This is a really hard course sequence so be aware of that when planning your schedule for that semester!. Don't over commit at school or at work!. Make sure all your friends, boy/girlfriend and family understand that you will be very busy studying, and won't have much extra time!.

2!. Buy your books early!. Talk to the professor and read the first two chapters before the semester begins!. Most people end up falling behind by the end of the first week of class!.

3!. Stay on top of all assignments and discussions!. Make some study time every day and cover the current topics!.

4!. Make flashcards!. You will have to know a large number of terms and will also be held responsible for identifying large numbers of structures from tissues to bones to cells to anything else in the human body!. Print out pics, make flashcards of the pics and test yourself often!. In one class, you are not only basically learning a new language but tons of biology!. For instance, one common experience is in one unit (2 to 3 weeks) to be required to learn to name all the bones and to learn every feature on every bone (and there are several for each bone)!. To learn the osteogenic cells both processes and to identify!. To learn to identify every bone by sight (we even had to identify one bone by touch only during the lab practical)!. And son on!. Plus you will have to keep up with whatever other assignments occur!. An then the next unit will be all the muscles and will take even more work!.

5!. Get some GOOD study buddies early on and get together regularly to STUDY!. Identify the people in you class who are doing well and talk the lessons over with them whenever you have questions!. Don't let questions go unanswered!.

6!. Participate in class!. Sit near the front!. Try to answer question!. When you have questions ask them!. If you have to wait until after class or during office hours, then do that!. Don't allow yourself to stay confused on anything!. Each lesson builds on the last and allowing confusion to remain will slow your ability to learn the next lesson!.

7!. All that being said!. Understand that you are going to be stressed out!. Plan for it!. Plan some times and ways to relax!. Don't break up with people solely because you are stressed and irritable (if they deserve it fine)!. Don't make any life altering decisions during your time in this class, it will reflect your stress rather than the way you really feel!. Don't decide to change your major during the course!. If you learn you really don't like the medical field that's one thing, but getting stressed out and telling yourself it's too hard is not acceptable!.

BUT, this class is completely doable!. It is not as much a test of intelligence as it is of responsibility and commitment!. If you take the class seriously, you will do very well!. Nursing is a very honorable profession and it comes with a lot of responsiblity!. This class sequence is one of the ways that you will be asked to prove that you take the responsibility of caring for other people's health seriously!. Just take it seriously, study consistently, take the things your professor (and lab instructor) says seriously and you will be one of the highest performers in the class!. Don't be surprised if you make less than an A on the first test, if you haven't had a class like this before the first test tends to be an eye opening experience!. Be happy with doing well because half the class will fail the first test because they haven't been studying like they should!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

there is nothing difficult when you do your best!. anatomy and physiology is a very interesting subject!. it's always best to read and read, research on things you wanna know more because college books doesn't have it all!. understanding anatomy and physiology would make you a very efficient nurse because to be a good nurse is to be good in health teaching!.

to pass that subject, always read beforehand, be prepared for the topics the next day so that you won't be clueless about the topic, take notes, memorize by heart and not in mind so you won't forget anatomy and physiology!.

good luck! :D dont you be scared because nothing is terrifying when you know you are prepared!.!. it's just all preparation!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Although memorization is an important strategy, it is also crucial to think about your overall approach!. when facing something intimidating, its important to remember/identify what you CAN change and what is out of your hands!. For this class, you ARE in control of yourself, that is, how much you read, spend time studying, whether or not you study with a friend, get help from the teacher, attend study groups, etc!. What you probably cannot control are the assessments that the teacher uses ( e!.g!. tests or quizes, or presentations) and the amount of material that is required of you!. Remember that taking control of your learning, and doing what is necessary to help yourself is the best you can do!.

good luck, i'm sure youll be fine!Www@Answer-Health@Com

anatomy is ALL about memorization of every nook and cranny!. seriously you are going to know the names of like all the holes on some bone!. but that class is easy cuz all it is is memorization!. but i cant say the same for physiology!. that class is reaaaallllllyyyyy hard, especially the renal system with all that math and stuff i have nightmares just thinking about that class!. i want to be a nurse also :) but anatomy is really easy though!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

well, you do have to study alot for a&p!.!.!.!.!.!.!.don!.t take other heavy classes while you take this class!.!.!.!.!.if you don!.t so great, then just take it again next semester!.!.!.!.!.!.believe me anatomy is pretty important in nursing!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
