Zoloft? Prescribed for depression...?!

Question: Zoloft!? Prescribed for depression!.!.!.!?
I was prescribed Zoloft yesterday from my Dr!. for depression!. I started taking it this morning and I already don't like it!. I've felt sick all day, like I have the shivers and I'm nauseas, and my heart is beating really really fast!
I almost didn't want to take it, because I feel like if I start having to take this, I'll have to take it forever, I feel like a crazy person!
I'm only 17, and I have a really good life!. But I'm sad and upset and stressed and crying and tired all the time!
My mind goes 100 miles an hour, but I feel like my body just can't keep up!.
Anyways, I don't want to take this medicine anymore, but is it safe to stop taking it, since I only took it this one day!?!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
if youre going to stop, now is the best time before the drug builds up in your body after weeks or months of use!.

keep in mind, any anti depressant is going to give you an array of side effects - while in most cases they go away and you start to feel normal, and even better on the AD's

from my personal experience zoloft is the worst AD on the planet - i hated it for all the same reasons as you and refuse to take it anymore - thankfully i've found other AD's like cymbalta

ask your doctor about cymbalta - its carries minimal side effects and really works wonders on depression

good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You might try talking to you doctor about the side effects you are having!. I took zoloft for a while and I really liked it!. After I got over the side effects it really helped me!. But I'm not a doctor so I can't really tell you what to do!. But do know that you will experience some side effects until you get used to any new med!. They go away!.

I hope everything get sorted out for you!.!.!.you might just need a different antidepressant!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You don't have to take it again if you don't want to!.

But antidepressants can help your depression!. You won't have to take them forever, and taking them doesn't mean you're crazy!.

You might have to try a few different ones before you find the right one for you!. Talk to your doctor and don't give up!Www@Answer-Health@Com
