Where can I go to get diagnosed with a personality disorder?!
Question: Where can I go to get diagnosed with a personality disorder!?

A mental health professional such as a psychologist or psychiatrist may diagnose you!.
You will find that even if you have a diagnosable personality disorder, that it just cages you in!. Not all characteristics will fit your individual issues!. Not to mention, being labeled can backfire!. You want to know whats wrong and how to treat it- totally understandable!.
However, there is a big difference between medical diagnoses and a psychiatric diagnosis!. Usually in medicine there are concrete symptoms that tell exactly what is wrong and medications to treat the illness that are more accurate and effective!.
With a psychiatric illness, it isn't an exact science!. In fact, it is usually a judgment call!. No blood test can determine whether or not you have this type of illness!. Medication is a crap shoot!. And usually not terribly effective, particularly with most personality disorders!.
My recommendation is actually not to worry overly much about a diagnosis and just get counseling for your symptoms!. I mean, a provider will have to give a diagnosis to your insurance company, but rather than get hung up on a diagnosis, get help for the issues in your life you feel need help with!. You are not your diagnosis, you are a human being with feelings and dreams- not the set of symptoms that may make up whatever personality disorder you may or may not have!.

there really isn't a test sweetie!.!.!.you need to seek professional help for a licensed psychologist!. they will be able to determine if you have any type of personality disorders and will be able to start treatment!.

there are different types of personality disorders and the only person who will really diagnose it is a psychiatrist!. I have borderline personality disorder!. You need to go to your gop and ask to be refered to a psychiatrist!. best of luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

YOUR REGULAR DOCTOR SHOULD BE ABLE TO REFER YOU!.IF NOT THE COUNTY HEALTH OFFICE SHOULD BE ABLE TO GIVE YOU A LIST OF PROVIDERS!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
