Question: Anyone on Lamictal!? Please help me answer this question !!!!?
My son is on 50 mg!. of Lamictal!. He was diagnosed with Bipolar with Manic Tendencies!. That is the only med he is on!. Will there ever come a time where he will wean off the Lamictal or further decrease the dosage!? Thanks in advance for your kindness in answering!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am surprised he is still at such a low dose!. Is it working at all!? 250 mg was as low as I was allowed to go until I quit it entirely, but I still had to stay on other medications!.!.!.
How are you doing!? How is your son!? I am currently on suicide watch, and get to go visit my doctor again, for the third time this week, today!. Just hoping they don't lock me up!. Raised my antidepressants a few weeks ago, and again last week!.

I'm on it, but I think it depends on how OLD he is!.
If he's really young, they may increase dosages as he gets older!. If he's manic, he may have to be on meds forever as bipolar isn't cureable, just manageable!. You'll always have that chemical imbalance!.
Bipolar is not like depression!. People can go off the meds and get back to the way they were at one time in their lives!.
Bipolar disorder isn't like that!. You're born with it, and it will always stay!.
After massive psychotherapy, people can learn to deal and handle it with coping mechanisms, but that takes FOREVER and you will spend A LOT of money!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
