Why do i sometimes underestimate myself so much, i still do it in my?!

40,s its like i fixed my computer and was surprised i could do, sometimes i underestimate myself I stop myself from doing things cos i keep saying to myself i cannot,
I had a step dad who was not nice to me, everyday he would shout at me for hours and telling me I was stupid and things, hit me and nasty, he said he was sorry years later but it still has an affect on me!. how do i overcome self douptWww@Answer-Health@Com
