recovering alcoholic 5 years sober and I can't take it - this s**t happens at least every week or so - then the next week everything is peachy - at times like this I want to buy a gun and blow my brains out - but maybe that's a good reason for a two week waiting period - but then after two weeks maybe I'll be back on a low - but during normal weeks it's absurd to even thing aboukWww@Answer-Health@Com

It's possible that you may have rapid cycling bipolar disorder!. See bipolar disorder, at ezy build, below, in section 10, and take the quiz, if unsure, and if the results are positive, ensure you get an expert diagnosis from a mental health professional, not doctors, who are much better dealing with physical ailments, and don't diagnose complex disorders like bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and borderline personality disorder often enough to develop any real expertise!.

Bipolar disorder usually involves major mood swings, which occur without apparent cause, and often over many months, or a matter of years, rather than days, as with most people (unless rapid cycling)!. I'd take 4 Omega 3 fish oil supplements daily, replacing 2 of them with cod liver oil supplements in the winter months, (or, as probably a better alternative to the 2 cod liver oil supplements: 1 teaspoonful of cod liver oil, with a little butter, to ensure its use; I take mine on sourdough rye bread, or toast, covered with fishpaste, and pepper, to mask the strong taste)!. Those people who receive adequate exposure to sunlight, daily, won't need the vitamin D from cod liver oil, but many people, particularly those in latitudes far from the equator, find this difficult, to achieve!.

If you decide to use allopathy, (modern Western medicine) I recommend trying Lithium Carbonate, or Lithium Citrate!. (regular tests are necessary, for these) before trying the other mood stabilisers, but if you aren't good at taking medications regularly, drinking adequate water, and keeping up your salt intake, something else, such as Lamictal, may suit you better!. If not considerably improved, after several months, consult your primary mental health care provider: you may be one of those who need medications to prevent this progressive illness from getting even worse!. If bipolar type 1, an antipsychotic medication may also be needed!. What support are you actually getting honey!? because you need some support, someone to talk to!. I've been in the deepest darkest corners of my life and wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy but believe me there is a light at the end of the tunnel, but you're not gonna find it on your own, you need someone to help you through this!. Ending your life wont solve anything honey, think of the devastation you will leave behind, for a start you are here, writing this post, so in my eyes thats a very big step forward! When you are low you need to remember that this feeling wont last forever, it will pass and it will return but you can get through it, I am speaking from experience so I know and feel exactly what you are feeling! You say in normal weeks that ending your life seems absurd to even think about, you have to focus on that feeling, make a list of everything that makes you happy, all the things you have to live for, and when this low period comes, take a look!
Why dont you go and see your doctor, I know alot of people are against antidepressants but believe me, they saved my life along with support from family!. I know that when you are low you dont want to talk to anyone, you dont want to be around anyone but being on your own isnt what you want either, you can fight this, and you can win but please please please dont try and do it alone, talk to somebody and if you need me then shout! Sounds like you need to sit down and count your blessings!.A good idea is to write down all the wonderful beautiful things in your life!.It could be flowers growing in your front yard,children,your relatives,a pet!.In your minds eye remember a happy time like a concert, Disney world,a vacation,your cousins wedding,etc!.!.!. Now meditate close your eyes and lay yourself down concentrating on your happy time or place!. As your concentrating let your body relax think about each section of your body start with your head and work your way down tell yourself each part of your body is getting heavy say this over and over again until your body actually responds now as you do this if you get distracted go back to your happy time or place!.Breath in through your nose out through you mouth!.You will find yourself refreshed!.Things will seam clearer and easier for you!. You should try going to the psychotherapist they can help you feel better and help you find positive ways to deal with your problems rather than wanting to kill yourself!. You shouldn't ever want to kill yourself you were put here for a reason you just got to find out what it is!. Try doing a hobby, reading a new book, writing a novel or playing sports, playing games, hanging outside, relaxing, gardening, camping, hanging with friends or family, talking out your problems, etc!. any positive things that makes you happy you should do it often to stay happy!. Try doing stuff that keep your mind off things that makes you sad or mad!.
