Question: Is anyone else taking Seroquel, Does it increase your appetite or not!?
I've been on Seroquel for a month now and I'm told by people that they gain a lot of weight on it, what's your experience have you gained weight on it or not!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It DOES increase your appetite however it dosn't have to make u gain weight!. Just because you crave certain foods dosn't mean u have to eat them! Try to eat your regular meals and have snacks in between that are filling but not empty calories!. Try lean lunch meat, fresh veggies, fruit!.!.!.
It truely is a GOOD drug and honestly does help people!. Don't stop taking it for fear of gaining weight!. If you start to have problems with it tell your doctor and let them switch you to something else!. Just stopping abrubtly is bad for your bodyWww@Answer-Health@Com

My mother took it for a few years and gain about 30lbs!. She couldn't even stick to a diet and my dad would find her eating in her sleep while on that stuff!. He woke up one morning and she was asleep in a chair with her hand in a 1/2 gallon carton of ice cream!.
But you might not experience that side effect with Seroquel!. It might be different for everyone!. If it is helping you otherwise you might continue and see!. I think sometimes with meds you have to make a list of the positives effects and negitives effects and decide which are more important to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I took it!.!. and yes! I gained a ton of weight!.!. from 110 5'5 to 140lbs!.!. it was horrible!. Of course when I stopped taking it, I had lost all the weight!. It didn't make me stupider!.!. just didn't have a personality!. Before, I was such a joker and when I was on it i was like blah!. Still did well in school though!. But, I'd rather have a personality with a little kinks then just be a freakin fat zombie!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I take 200 mg - 300 mg to sleep at night and it definitely increases my appetite!. I haven't gained weight but that's because I'm being very careful about what I eat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
YES!. What dose are you on!? It goes up to 1000, 100 is small, and the higher you go, the fatter, sleepier, and stupider you will get!. WILL!. Not MIGHT!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I've taken up to 150mg!. It didn't make me hungry!. However, it gave me sugar cravings, so I bought fruit!. Problem solved!. No weight gain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
