Would you consider seeing a psychiatrist just to have someone to talk to?!

Question: Would you consider seeing a psychiatrist just to have someone to talk to!?
Answers:
Why not find someone to chat with online!. All you have to do is search yahoo 360 and see who is online!. You can read their blog and see if you find them interesting and then strike up a conversation!. Don't be afraid to approach people this way!. I have met over 300 people on Yahoo messenger from all over the world, so there isn't a time of day or night when I don't have someone to chat with!. Also I have a good long distance plan and I can call and talk to all of my friends in the USA and not have to worry about the bill!. You could also join a book club at your local library!. This will give yuo something to talk about and you may make some friends that will last a lifetime!. Also why not try a personals ad in the newspaper!. Going on a date is great for having a conversation!. And if you don't like your date you can just try different one!. Have you thought about looking in your newspaper society page for lists of groups that meet in your area!? You may find something that you are particularly interested in and make friends with people who share the same interests and who will want to talk about it!. Please do not abuse the medical profession by using them for nonmedical purposes!. There are so many ways that you can find someone to alk to for free!. Just apply your mind to it and generate some ideas!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you need support, a therapist would be a good one to talk to if there are difficult things going on in your life or if you want to work on a particular problem or issue!.

But these days, psychiatrists really only prescribe medications for psychiatric conditions and symptoms!. My psychiatrist is unusual: He has a lot of patients, but he always spends at least 45 minutes talking to me, giving me support!. This is extremely rare!. I hope this was helpful to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

maybe, but if you just want someone in general to talk to, you could use a psychologist, therapist, or counselor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
