Answers:
Insomnia is quite often a learned behavior---when you told yourself that sleep was stupid when you were younger!.

However, there are some things to avoid at least 2 hrs before going to sleep!.

Avoid heavy exercise before bedtime!. This can increase your adrelinline and epinephrine and can make you feel hyped!.

Avoid caffeine!. This includes: coffee, tea and chocolate!.

If you can't quiet your mind--get a journal and write everything you are thinking in it!.

Start a sleep regime!.

Take a warm bath
Listen to some slow music
Read a book

If these don't work!.!.!.!.buy some Celestial Seasonings SLEEPY TIME tea!.

This will make you feel relaxed and able to fall asleep and remain asleep!.

I've been a lifelong insomniac!. I used to take Benadryl to get to sleep when I was a kid!. It is an anti-histamineWww@Answer-Health@Com

If you go to bed and can't sleep, try getting up for awhile and find something relaxing to do!. Lying there worrying about it will only make it worse!. Don't exercise or eat anything heavy close to bedtime!. I would suggest talking to your doctor!. Sleep aids can help, but they are recommended for short term only as you can become used to them and have even more trouble once you try to avoid them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

try over the counter meds that help you sleep, if that doesn't help go see a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
