Do you think Depression is Real?!

Question: Do you think Depression is Real!?
Without any tests to prove a true "chemical imbalance" for psychiatric disorders, give me your opinion!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Without a doubt, yes it's real!. I've experienced it and I've seen other people who are experiencing it!. It's scary, disabling (definitely in the emotional/social sense, but it can be physically disabling as well at times) and it can make a person want to die!. I think that if something is strong enough to make a person want to die, then yes, it's real!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depression is a very real thing!. Additionally there are chemical tests depending on what chemical imbalance you have basing that many of the balances stem from your thyroid and hyperthyroidism!. Additionally when medicating some medications are successful!. The most useful means of overcoming depression is cognitive therapy (learning what triggers your depression and how to live with it without it controlling you)!. The fact that practical psychiatry does not test all thyroid levels for indicators or contraindicating factors does not mean that testing is not available-

Depression and Bi-polar disorder do exist and there are many varying causes and treatments for successfully living with either!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes it's real!. I've battled it most of my life and there have been three suicides in three generations on my mother's side of the family!.
I also spent 26 years working on hospital psychiatric units, and, believe me, it's all real!.
There were pretty established sets of symptoms for all the psychiatric disorders long before we knew enough neurochemistry to figure out the "imbalances" and the chemists still haven't got it all figured out, regardless of what the pharmaceutical companies try to tell you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it's as "real" as happiness, it's simply a state of mind that people dramatize with all the mainstream chemical imbalance BS ppl throw around (if everything really was simply a chemical imbalance then antidepressents wouldn't be only 25% effective, compared to the 75% recovery that mere optimism brings about-scientifically proven-) the only reason it seems like such a big deal is because of the things it can breed, such as suicidal tendencies!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, it is very real!.

It doesn't matter if the person has a chemical imbalance or not!. If someone feels depressed all the time then they suffer from depression!.

It's like kind of like "feeling blue" all the time and that really starts to get to people after a while!. I've seen it destroy people and it was very clear to me that it wasn't what they wanted!. If they could have shut it off they would have!.

Heck yeah! If depression isn't real then I'd sure love to know what I have!

There are a couple ways to find out:
1!. Are you a teenager!?
2!. Are you constanly preoccupied with miserable thoughts!?
3!. You you constantly have feelings of sadness or guilt!?
4!. Has your appetite increased/decreased drasticly within the past few weeks!?
5!. Have you had any suicidal thoughts within the past few weeks!?
6!. Are you drawing yourself away from your friends!?
7!. Have you had trouble sleeping!?
8!. Have you been hurt/raped/molested/had a loved one die/feel lonely/had an emotional upheaval of any kind withing the past few weeks!?
9!. Do any of your parents have depression because it can be geneticly passed on!.

I'f you've answered "Yes" to more then half of them odds are in your favore!. If you're a teenager then we're all the same: Your life is twisting and turning, changing every few seconds!. The world has turned on its head for some unknown reason and we're not sure what's going on!. If you're a teenager then this is perfectly normal and you should just sit tight and wait for it to pass!. In either case you can simply go to the doctor and they'll do a few tests (Q&A tests) and figure out what's up!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. I have been suffering from depression all my life!. I have been off and on anti-depressants for 25 years!. The funny thing about it is I have a perfect life! I couldn't ask for anything better!. I have a beautiful home, a wonderful family, I don't have to worry about money, yet I still am depressed!. I believe it is because I have a problem with seratonin in my brain!. I can't figure out any other reason why I feel so bad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

"Yeah I'm slipping into the twilight zone!. This is a mad house!. Feels like being cloned!. My lanterns' been slipped under moon and stars!. Where am I to go now that I've gone too far!? Said you will come to know, when the bullet hits the bone!."
It's nighttime!. December 12, 2002!. You sit in a chat room and think back on what a wild ride the last year has been with the mania!. It's been great!. Been better without the accident but no drug could make you feel as good!. Lots of friends and fun!. As you chat, someone says they have had problems with their breathing!.
You flash back to the intensive care ward!. You could hardly breathe!. One thought over and over!. Take one more breath and you will live!.
Suddenly, you step off a cliff!. The mania ended at that moment!. You fall and fall and fall!. When you finally hit bottom an inky blackness starts slipping into your chest!. It gives you that sinking feeling in your chest like when you get into really bad trouble!. It reaches around your heart like a tentacle and squeezes!. It doesn't let go!. You feel a sorrow as deep as if you just watched your family die!. And it goes on and on and on!. You don't think you can last another day!. Somehow, the days slip by!. Then the months!. And years!. Slowly you begin to feel better!. Another couple of years and you feel like your old self!. And you wait for the next time!.
So yeah, I would say depression is real!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
