Animals are so much more genuine than people!. So much more real in so many ways!. You just get to the core nature of compassion and cut through all the mental games us humans play with each other!. Totally agree, I'm going through a tough time and would like to get a dog or something!.

Side note: Try not to get too desperately attached to your guinea pig specifically though, but be observant of the emotions you get when you are with him and you can take that feeling elsewhere in life, and beyond his lifespan!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I bought a cockatiel when my wife and i thought we would split, ten months later we were back together and now my wife is jealous of my bird as she says she gets all the affection, its funny but i bought the cockatiel to have something to keep me going in life, now its started to slightly break it all up again, not that i blame my bird, its circumstances that have gone all wrong!.
But i must say that having an animal is probably the best thing you can do later in life to keep you company because if your on your own you begin to feel the loneliness, that's the first step to depression and maybe even early death!. As far as I'm concerned having a pet is the best thing to do in your life, they certainly repay back any kindness you give!. Trumps to all pets!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are so right! My 13 year old German Shepherd has been a power of strength to me over 13 difficult years !.!.!.!. the fact that she is always there, showing totally unconditional love and taking me for a walk every night has given me one positive thing in my life to rely on!. I guess the relief comes from having something so positive in your life despite the dark days that you may be going through!. The downside is that pets get ill themselves and never live that long !.!.!. I'll miss my dog terribly when the time comes but the memories will last forever!. That was a great question !Www@Answer-Health@Com

Excellent question! I love my cat to bits, I have depression too but no matter how low I feel my cat is always there and ready for a cuddle!. There is an organisation in the UK called Pets As Therapy, have a look at the website and get involved if you can!. :o)Www@Answer-Health@Com
