How can I stop being so dependant?!


Question: How can I stop being so dependant!?
I'm sure I suffer depression, but I have extreme difficulty talking to anyone about anything personal and as much as I want help, it's stopping me from getting it!. I mainly feel depressed at night, but it's every night!. I can't sleep or eat properly, can't concentrate on things and I don't have any motivation for things like going out with my friends anymore!. I sometimes feel so upset I'm sick, and I cry uncontrollably every night!. About 6 months ago, I was drinking every day, even in school (I'm fifteen) until the school and social services found out!. That was one of the hardest things I've ever gone through, because I couldn't stand the fact that my parents knew, even though they were being okay about it and just wanted to help me!. I was forced to give up, and never saw a counsellor!. I suffered bad withdrawal symptoms, and even now - this many months on - I crave alcohol badly!. I feel so lost without it, it was an escape from my depression and now I'm worse without it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are a bit young to do too much standing on your own but to some extent you have to learn to do just that!. Sounds like you are an alcoholic since you have that craving!. If you give into it, you will just be a lot worse!. Actually you were much worse WITH it!. There will be a day come that you will see that!. Get into an AA meeting somewhere!. They do have them for teens as well as adults!. Go to a counselor or therapist for some help as hard as it may be as it will be the one thing that will help you more than you can know now!. Let your parents know you want help and let them help you ge the help you really need!. If you feel you really need an addiction to something, pick up your bible and read it!. Get addicted to God!. Smoking just puts you in more danger of sickness and a slow death that is not so nice as you may think it would be!. I have seen many that have had throat cancers, tongue cancers and even lung cancers where they were not even the ones that did the smoking but was around it all the time!. It will rob your health and your life as well!. Get off them now while there is still time and get some counseling!. It really will help in more ways than you can realize now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Meditation technique

Most of our problems stem from the mind!.
Situations are what they are, but our mind puts a whole new spin on it, often for the worse!.
This leads to a lot of the pain we feel, and being consumed by the pain we act from it, hurting those we care about!.
This is true for all people in all positions of life,except babies!.

So rather than be controlled by the mind, we should learn to control it!.
It is hard to directly do so rather we can control its most obvious manifestation, the breath!.
You'll note that when you are very concentrated you won't breath as much, or when angry shallow and rapidly!.
How to control the breath!.
Inhale and as you do pay attention to the column of air entering your right nostril(air enters both sides, but focus on the right side for now)!.
Exhale and feel the column exit on the left side(air exits both sides, but pay attention to the left)!.
Inhale through the left nostril, exhale through the right(same as previous steps)!.
Inhale and feel the air in both nostrils rise to the top of your nose like an inverted 'V', then force it all out in one breath!.
This counts as one cycle!.
You can go up to 100 in a day, and make a game of this!.
If you lose track of the count restart!.
As you get better you'll notice your breathing slowing down!.
Once you slow down enough, the mind slows down, to the point you can feel a space between thoughts!.
As you advance further you'll learn to identify yourself with that peace, not your painful past nor the vices you had!.
