I had this SAME EXACT problem for a really, really long time!. It started when I was 14, and it's been of an on for a couple years!. (I haven't had it for a couple of months now though, and now I sleep TOO much!) I talked to my doctor about it, and it was labeled as anxiety, and I went to therapy for it- and it really didn't help!. In therapy, they'll probably look for underlying problems or feelings that are subconsciously keeping you from sleeping!. So unless, you can think of any, therapy probably won't help!. It might if you investigate the underlying problems, but if your only problem is trouble sleeping, it might grow into other problems, and show signs of depression or certain disorders!.
I know this answer isn't very reassuring, but I'm sharing my experience!. During when this first started, I bought dissolvable melatonin tablets from whole foods!. It costs about $7 for 60!. They're non-addictive, all natural, and it helped me some nights!. I would try some of those, because they helped me some nights, but I would also look into other aspects of your life--like how you're feeling and any other symptoms!. Therapy might still help you though, so I would talk to your doctor, and really emphasize how the lack of sleep is interfering with your life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is pretty common and it's called insomnia!. Doesn't your sleeping pill work!? If it is working and you are still obsessing than you may have an anxiety disored and yes, therapy can be very beneficial, as I am a therapist and know first handWww@Answer-Health@Com

you are taking the proper steps to help yourself,so that is a good thing!.yes,i do believe talk therapy will help, maybe find out why you worry about not getting enough sleep!.you could even keep a log and write in it what is going on at the time, which might be causing you to not want to go to sleep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
