ive been there its hard!!! a couple times i got a prescription!. this time right now i think of what makes me happy and why i want to keep on going!. and what i can do to make me happy, i think of my cats, family!. if it goes on awhile i would go to your doctor for presciption!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

If you are doing any kind of drugs, work on quitting first!. Then, you probably forgot to enjoy the little things!. Go to a movie with your friends, have a Sunday breakfast with people you care for!. Hang out with people you love, and whom love you!. You'll feel appreciated!. Most importantly get a constructive hobby, something which you built onto gradually!. It can even be a really long video game, I'd recommend Final Fantasy!. Definately try to get out more as well, mostly you'd feel like sitting home and doing nothing, force yourself to avoid that and you'll notice you are having fun!. A mate to push you to things can also help :) Force you to go out dancing etc!. You'll like it once you are out!. Doing similar activities will help your depression without drugs!. The whole idea of having to take drugs just to stay happy and sane will probably depress the heck out of you!. Probably why there is such a variable success rate with these pills!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

taking an objective look at your situation may help!.
one thing i have learned is that nothing is ever as bad as it seems!. even though is may feel like it now!.

try to relax, may be some meditation!.

try going to youtube and looking up meditations or yoga for depression!.

here is a meditation of the chakras- the points of spiritual energy flow -

from the bottom-
while slowly and steadily breathing,
focus on your pelvis!. - the coresponding color is red!.
bring red energy to the pelvic area!.

next is the lowe abdomen- the coresponding color is orange!.
repeat second step, but with the color orange!.

next is the solar plexis - yellow
heart is green
throat is blue,
between your eye brows (3rd eye) - indigo
crown of the head is purple!.

Medications only work to an extent, the rest left up to you!.
Most people don't know what to do from there, and slip back in!.

Exercise etc is good, this is better!.
Meditation technique

Most of our problems stem from the mind!.
Situations are what they are, but our mind puts a whole new spin on it, often for the worse!.
This leads to a lot of the pain we feel, and being consumed by the pain we act from it, hurting those we care about!.
This is true for all people in all positions of life,except babies!.

So rather than be controlled by the mind, we should learn to control it!.
It is hard to directly do so rather we can control its most obvious manifestation, the breath!.
You'll note that when you are very concentrated you won't breath as much, or when angry shallow and rapidly!.
How to control the breath!.
Inhale and as you do pay attention to the column of air entering your right nostril(air enters both sides, but focus on the right side for now)!.
Exhale and feel the column exit on the left side(air exits both sides, but pay attention to the left)!.
Inhale through the left nostril, exhale through the right(same as previous steps)!.
Inhale and feel the air in both nostrils rise to the top of your nose like an inverted 'V', then force it all out in one breath!.
This counts as one cycle!.
You can go up to 100 in a day, and make a game of this!.
If you lose track of the count restart!.
As you get better you'll notice your breathing slowing down!.
Once you slow down enough, the mind slows down, to the point you can feel a space between thoughts!.
As you advance further you'll learn to identify yourself with that peace, not your painful past nor the vices you had!.

Manage stress,balance work and social life!.
Stay in work or school as being productive is vital to one's mental health!.
Exercise can produce feel good endorphins!.
Talk to someone ,a problem shared is a problem halved!.

and set down a care plan etc

and take some of the advise the doctor offers!
