I have very bad sleeping patterns!. I don't know why I do it, but I fight going to sleep, and then I fight waking up!. I of course am then tired all day, until I get a second wind and do not want to go to bed at night!. All of this is making it very hard for me to stay focused in school!. I lose my attention pretty easy now!. Does this sound like some sort of disorder or am I just being a baby!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You aren't being a baby!. Take it from someone who also has insomnia issues, it can be really annoying!. Mine also started showing up at the end of the school year, so I can relate on the whole not focusing thing!.

First, gain back the sleep you lost!. Lets say you lost six hours!. Add one hour on to the time you'd normally go to bed each night for six days!. Now, falling asleep!. Get yourself on a schedule!. As in, at ten you have to get off the computer!. No IMing, emails, anything!. Then watch TV for an hour!. After which, pick up a book and read for a half an hour then try sleeping!. One word!. Melatonin!. You can get it over the counter or in a glass of warm milk!. It's a chemical in the brain that allows your body to sleep!. Take one before you go to bed!.

However, if you're really having problems go see your doctor!. Ask about Trazadone!. A low dose perscription will help you fall asleep!. Take it from someone who hallucinates on cold medicine, this isn't like Ambian or something that can make you wig out and sleep walk!. The side effects are pretty minimal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

OMG were twins haha, im currently up at 4!.48am, and i have to go to school at 7am, and then i have full time work right after school till the wee-hrs of the morning!. Currently i am soo tired but up i am, and just subscribed for yahoo answers, because the satellite I'm watching gets a little dirty around this time haha!.

Anyways, because i have such a busy day i cant afford to not sleep, so im gonna talk to my doctor about organic/natural sleeping pills, if there is such a thing!.

Try having herbal tea, or hot milk (baby, just kidding) before bed!.

You could have DSPD (delayed sleep phase disorder), but it's kinda hard to self diagnose!. I suffer from it and experience the same things as you!. It's where your whole sleep gets pushed back by hours, you go to sleep later, wake up later!. You might wanna see a doctor or something if you see it's something you can't handle!. It was responsible for me dropping out of school so I know it can be hard to control!. Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

no its what happens to me, though i never knew there were other people!. I don't wanna go to bed, cuz im like watching a movie or sumin, i dont wanna get up, i need coffee!. THen im exhausted all day until night again, when i feel fine!. What you need is to go to the doctor and get these sleeping pills where it "Resets your body clock" thats all you need!. only stay on them for 5 days and you should be fine!. any longer and you can build up a dependency (oh ****) but just go to ur local doctor and youll be fine dude!. dont stress!. many people get this especially during the stressful times of the later school years!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
