Question: Do you think 50 mg!. of Lamictal will do anything!?
Its the top dosage my son is willing to take!. For months, he didnt take anything at all!. He has Bipolar with manic tendencies!. He tells me constantly that he is cured!. He went into a Vibe Machine and says now he is cured but he will take ONLY 50 mg!. of lamictal to make his Dad get off his back and shut up!. My question:

if he is willing to at least take 50mg give it to him!. i am on 100mg of lamictal!.!.!.and i am 36yrs!. so if a child is taking 50mg it will do some good! he might not get the full benefits of the medication, but with him having bipolar he needs meds!. as long as he keeps taking the lamictal and keeps the drug in his system he should get some benefits from taking the drug!.
now with all that said!.!.!.i am NOT a doctor, i am just speaking from 25yrs experience of being on medications for my bipolar II ultra rapid cycling!. have you spoke with his doctor, if not, that may be a good idea!.

I am on way more than your son (425 mg Lamictal)!. This med in combo with Lithium basically saved my life (not to sound dramatic)!. I had nothing but bad results with all of the other meds for BP, and we started slow with the L/L combo and I just became better and better!. Have been on this for almost 4 years (slight adjustments here and there), and the mood swings are under control!. As for the Vibe machine - never heard of this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I agree!. Let him keep taking the 50mg for now!. Its better than nothing!. I am on my starter packet of lamictal and I am currantly on 50 mg and I feel like a new person already! I have bipolar ll rapid cycling as well and It has so far changed my life!
I am working my way up to 100mg but I can really feel it at 50mg and I was a total wreck before!.

Everyone is made up different!. I have bipolar and can't imagine not living without my lithium!. I have tried the Vibe machine!. I don't think that its intent is to cure all illnesses!. He shouldn't go off of his medication without consent of a Dr!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
