What do you do when your depressed?!


Question: What do you do when your depressed!?
OK this is weird i know but I have never really been truly depressed up until recently!. Now i am very depressed and I have MANY diffrent reasons causing this!. What I want to know is what do people who are depressed do!?!? My friend says depressed people eat ice cream and watch movies!. What else do depressed ppl do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

The word depression is used in 2 ways:
You may feel blah and have the blues!. By all means do whatever that will make you feel good!.

And then there's depressive illness, diagnosed as the blahs and blues that don't go away!. NOTHING makes you feel good because either your senses go on strike, all you can do is lie in bed and maybe not sleep at all or too much, eat nothing at all or too much and cry, cry, cry!.!.!. or they are so heightened everything bothers you and you're screaming at everybody and fighting!. Can't concentrate, can't remember, want to be left alone!.!.!.Or all of the above at same time!.
So l suggest that you do everything that is suggested here!. If nothing works for 2 weeks, go to a psychiatrist, that's what they're there for and their waiting rooms are always full!.

Well depression for me is crying a lot , the feeling that everything is hopeless, staying in and avoiding people, not excepting invites to go places, not having the passion you had once for certain activities, thoughts of suicide, sleeping a lot or not being able to sleep because of worrying about things!. Anger also goes along with most of those things!. You do not have all these symptoms all the time but most of them!. And you have them for a long period of time!. These are some of the things that I have gone through in my seven years of depression!. Now I'm seeing a Therapist!. I hope to regain my smile!. Now I try to look my best everyday, when you look good you feel good!. I try not to hide out and I except invites to go out even when I would rather stay in!. Later I'm usually glad that I excepted the invite!. I try to be around positive people, people who make me smile and laugh!. Laughing is so very good for you!. I hope this helped you understand a little about depression!. There is so much more to it!. Everyone is different!.

There's a huge difference between depression and being temporarily down!. Depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain!. A depressed person cannot help that they feel down ALL the time!. Weeks and/or years of it, relentless sadness!. So me, I carry on with life, taking care of responsibilities, try not to let my family down!. I would rather stay in bed all day and not face anyone, but this makes it so much worse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

wow those are some interesting answers!.!. try just thinking through why it is your feeling down and depressed!.!. THINK THROUGH IT!.!. while your thinking about it also try to think about how it is going to feel knowing you beat this ugly depression! everyone gets depressed about things in our lives!. sometimes it is small, and sometimes the depression is very overtaking!.!. your going to be fine!. please think about why your depressed and understand that someone else is hurting too!.!. hope in your heart that they feel better as well!.!. good luck!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i have experience in this, i can truthfully say!.!.!.
what i use to do was i would scribble everything down as fast as i could in a journal, anything that is bothering you, any thought that comes to you!.
have a good cry if you need one!.
afterwards OD on ice cream and dance to your favorite music!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

when i get depressed, i take a shower, even when i don't feel like it, and tell my dog it's time for a walk!.!.!.!.!.just to see his tail wagging, it's enough!!!
if you don't have a dog, try picking up and reading a bloody good book!.!.!.!.something you can get lost in, like a good mystery thriller, or even a good funny book! i can lose myself for hours! and if that fails, do the girly thing, hot bath with lots of bubbles and smells, candles, and a glass of wine!. Lastly, i'm lucky where i live, its spring, and i can just step out on to the verandah, and breathe in!. The smells of blossoms and fruit are fantastic!. Take a long look around you!. you'll find something that makes you smile, believe me!. XXXWww@Answer-Health@Com

they do not eat good food
the love to eat microwaved fried food
the love to stay up very late
the love to do nothing and be lethargic
they love to NOT feel their real feeling
The love to be sorry for themselves and not validate their wholeness
