By example!. I'm a "middle aged lady" with three awesome kids!. I have always tried to teach them to be tolerant and respectful of everyone!. To never assume that someone is "bad" because they are different!. My daughter's college room-mate has two "mom's"!.!.!.!.and they are having a commitment ceremony this summer!. They have been together longer than many "straight" couples and are a wonderful example of a loving, committed family!.
Maybe it is because I work in an industry that seems to have a large number of "out" people (advertising) I have had the chance to meet many gay people!. I have become friends with many, but not with others!. That's because of their basic personalities!. NOT their sexual orientation!.
Here's what I have told my children!. There are not good gay people and bad gay people: There are just good people and bad people!. I think that people fear what they don't understand!. If we would all just try to see each other as people - and not our orientation - we'd be a lot better off!.
I once worked for a "christian" organization - and I found that this particular group of co-workers was extremely closed-minded when it came to homosexuality!. They saw it as a choice - and as a sin!. We had MANY interesting discussions around the watercooler on that one!
My argument was that people are born straight or gay (or, in some cases, bi) and that God would not purposely create someone that was inherently "evil"!. You don't "become" gay!.!.!.!.and you can't be "trained" to be straight!. That's ridiculous!
Sorry that I rambled on for so long!. I just feel very strongly about this subject!. If one of my children were to come to me and tell me that they were gay my only concern for them would be the stigma that they will face in our society!. But I would love them just as much and support them no matter what!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Society won't change until people change and learn that we are who we are and life still goes on!. If people actually knew how many gay, lesbian, bi and trans people were out ther and how long we have been around they would be surprised!. it is not a sin nor is it against rules of a moral society!. It is called DIVERSITY!. We are all different and put here to be such and that is what makes the world go around!.

Realize that each person can choose how to live his/her life!.

Never met anyone who had a fear of gay people!. Many that were revolted, but none that were afraid!. Homophobia is just another made up label meant to shame people into accepting someone else's point of view!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
as long as there are people who love God and want to make a homosexual aware of their sin to help turn them away from it (as with ALL sinners) and seek a personal relationship with Christ, you will never put an end to "homophobia"Www@Answer-Health@Com
