How can I get rid of my suicidal thoughts? Need help badly, I am already bipolar!

Question: How can I get rid of my suicidal thoughts!? Need help badly, I am already bipolar!.!?
O!.K!. Here is a little about me!.

I am 24 years old!. I graduated from college two years ago and am an aerospace engineer/rocket scientist!. My paycheck is barely enough to support my wife and I even though my wife keeps telling me I should be grateful for what I contribute to our family!. I have been married for one year and I have recently been diagnosed with bipolar disorder!.

Here is a little info about my wife:

Graduated from college one year ago!. Having a hard time finding a good job that pays decently and where her co-workers respect her!. Her parents abandoned her when she was a child, therfore resulting in a childhood history of depression!.

Now my wife gets extremely depressed about work because she can't find a good job!. Well I got her arrested last year because she pulled a knife on herself and I just wanted to get some help!. After repairing our marriage, she stills gets depressed about work and it makes me want to kill myself for arresting her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The first answer is ridiculous!. first you need to know this is not your fault!. Bipolar is not something you can control without help!. Have you thought about trying Abilify, my sis has bipolar and this has made a lot of difference for her!.
You and your wife need counselling seperately and together!.
This is a tough path because you both need to worry about making yourself "well" before you can worry about each other!. This is hard to do when you are married:)
try not to feel this way about her being arrested!. You did the right thing! Your love for her and not wanting her to die is what fueled that call to the police!.
I hate to say it but as far as your wife goes, a lot of us have had terrible, horrible childhoods but this is something she is going to have to deal with and move on!. She needs to let it make her stronger, not let it bring her down!. It may be that she doesn't know how to do this and that is why she needs to seek professional help as do you, like I said seperately and together!. Best of luck to you both :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think you and your wife should be in marriage counseling!. It sounds like you two have some troubles!. Also you should not feel bad for having her arrested, if you hadn't done that she may not be here today!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

a suggestion try and organize a family hour where you do something fun, like all watch a movie, or go out an d play some sport, do with someone where you know you'll will have a good laugh!. i hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should tell someone (Doctor, loved ones, close friend, family member)about these issues, both yourself AND your wife!. You sound like you both should get some professional help as well!. And stop beating yourself up over having your wife arrested, that was the right thing to do in an extremely dangerous situation!. Plus, what's done is DONE, so forget it, move on, that's in the past!. You can't let it haunt you or you'll make yourself worse!.
I feel for you guys, I know a close friend who is bipolar!. It is a scary, impulsive disorder, especially when the person is manic!. She goes through alot of highs & lows, but she has told me so much about how her bipolar affects her moods, that I understand & know what to expect!. She is a wonderful person, one of the loyalist, & nicest friends I've ever had, she'd give you the shirt off her back if you needed it!.
She also obsesses about the past, & things she can't change, because of her bipolar!. But she always stops herself when she realizes she is doing it!. She always trys so hard to keep a positive attitude & a healthy perspective on everything, even more than me!. I really admire her inner strength!. So, please find a good friend or loved one & make them aware of your situation!. It helps to have an outsider's opinion, & a shoulder to lean on!.
I hope you guys can make it work, & please get some help!. And be STRONG!.!.if you feel the urge to harm yourself, remind yourself that it is an irrational, negative impulse, & it will pass!. Also call someone IMMEDIATELY, even if it's a neighbor, or call an ambulance if the urge is too strong!. Let them know that you may be a danger to yourself, & hopefully they will talk you through this!. Don't bottle up your emotions, it doesn't work, even if you don't have a disorder!.!.Good luck, I hope I helped!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
