How to prevent bad memories/past events from coming up?!


Question: How to prevent bad memories/past events from coming up!?
A lot of the time, what really gets me down is when I think!.

When I think, it leads to bad events or memories from my past!. They make me feel really bad, and this doesn't help my depression or suicidal thoughts to decrease!.

So I was wondering, is there any way to stay as a positive thinker!? Is there a way to prevent these bad memories from coming up!? And if there is no way to stop them, is there anything I can do so that they don't bother me as much!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Learning to meditate can be a great tool!. Meditation allows you to put your mind in a peaceful state where you can just "be" - all of the outside stuff, positive or negative, can just kind of be by the side for a bit!. It's very refreshing!. When you get good at going into a meditative state, you can put your mind there quickly and let the bad thought go!.!.!.just know that it takes practice, but its totally worth it!.

There are many books out there on the subject, religious and non-religious!. Or, you can simply practice by going to a relaxing setting and focusing on your breathing!. When thoughts of any kind invade, do your best to let them drop and go back to focusing on your breathing and just "being!." Forgive yourself if you mind wanders back to the bad things and just go back to focusing on the breathing and quiet of being in the present moment as often as you have toWww@Answer-Health@Com

Don't think about the past!. What's happened, happened and that's that and no one can ever change that!. So now what you need to do is always look forward to the future and not look back!.

Of course we all have those regrets or bad memories, but you shouldn't think about them unless something from the outside has reminded you of it!. If they don't stop coming, think of those memories, and find a way to accept them!.

For example, let's say one of your bad memories is you losing your virginity too early to someone unworthy!. And everytime you think about it you feel down!. Think: "That's the choice I made at that time, that's what I wanted, and it has helped teach me to know what to look for in a girl/guy nect time!."

Keep looking forward!. Future not looking bright!? Do something to change that, because no one will fight and change it for you!. Only you can!. =)

Try seeing a psychiatrist or find a good friend or a journal!. Talk or write about every memory or thought you have!. That should help you to stop dwelling on it and while in the present, make great new memories and be sure to write/talk about those too!.

I personally, would use a journal!. It's a lot easier than spilling your heart to someone who can give you their opinion!. So talking to someone may be step 2!.

It's almost been a year since my best friend committed suicide!. Even today, every time I drift off in my head she always gets brought up, bringing with it tons of emotions!. How I bring myself out of depressing thoughts is realizing just how lucky I am!. There are so many good things in life, you just have to find them!. Suicide doesn't get rid of the pain; it just passes it on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Unfortunately, we cannot delete, or erase our past from our minds!.!.I think though, that if we forgive ourselves for the past and when something returns to mind that we don't want, think on the brighter side of life!.!.

everyone including myself have bad, disgusting memories but u hv to realise that those are only memories and start living in present think abt the future, next action u need to take !.!.!.!.b it very simple buying household things, remembering birthdays of ur beloved ones !.etc !.!.!.!.keep ur self busy and wanted by other ( borrow things or money !.!.!.jus kidding)Www@Answer-Health@Com
