Question: Too self concious to talk, help!!?
I'm afraid to talk to people sometimes!. part of the reason is that I have a slight accent!. No one really notices that I have one because it's only on certain words and they are very far between!. Other than that, I sound totally native!.
But I still really self-concious sometimes, espeically when I'm around the guys that I like, I'm afraid that he'll think i'm weird when he hears my chinese accented words!.
I have no problem talking around my close friends, and they think I'm cool and very bubbly!.

Don' t worry!!! I personally think its really cool that you are bilingual!. I wish i was!. Everyone has something that they are self concious about!. So they are, quite honestly, too focused on their own flaws to notice your small accent!. Plus that could be a cool conversation starter if a guy really did notice!. dont feel helpless and think your the only one!. and an accent isnt something to be ashamed of!. personally i would find it attractive, because it add a sence of character!. the shy part is something a little diffrent!. its a hump you will have to get over!. anti-anxiety meds could work, but i can tell you, that you dont need them at all!. to tell you the truth the person your talking to could very well be twice as nervous as you!. just be yourself, and a real person with personality will honor that!. once you confront this demon, it will no longer be a problem, because i went through it, just like all of us didWww@Answer-Health@Com
I personally don't think having an accent should be shameful in anyway!. If its really bad to the point where no one can understand you, then that is different!. But I think accents sound cool, especially french!. I don't know how old you are, but once you go to college or in the work force, you will see that the world is huge!. There are people that come from all around the world with their native language!. Even foreigners think that WE have an accent!.

people like accents!. guys will think it's cute!. You always hear everyone who deosn't have an accent say "I wish I had an accent!" it makes you stand out a little bit, in a good way!Www@Answer-Health@Com
