Very impatient, talking very fast and always in a dead run, being very stubborn and not listening to suggestion, feeling nothing is done right unless he does it himself, obsessed with job and cares nothing about family, tells someone good job to their face then curses them behind their back!.!.!.!.I have a boss like this and cant help but think he isnt all there!.!.!.!.does anyone know if this is an actual disorder!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

obsessive compulsive personality disorder!. VERY different from ocd!. it's basically hen you always have to be in charge!.
Preoccupation with details, rules, lists, order, organization, or schedules to the extent that the major point of the activity is lost
Showing perfectionism that interferes with task completion (e!.g!., is unable to complete a project because his or her own overly strict standards are not met)
Excessive devotion to work and productivity to the exclusion of leisure activities and friendships (not accounted for by obvious economic necessity)

Inability to discard worn-out or worthless objects even when they have no sentimental value

hes eitehr overly stressed or has like ocd or some kind of mania especially since he's talking so fast and not listneing to suggestions!. He sounds childish complementing then critizing!? it dosn't make since he is not a very good boss, maybe hes just immature or is trying to see who is teh gossip at work to try to get them fired if they start talking trash!. He is also contradicting himself bcuz he sayd nothing gets done rigth unless he does it and yet hes telling ppl good job to their faces but behind their backs he is just talking trash!. Besides the talking very fast part (which could be manic symptoms of Bi-polar disorder), sounds like an Axis II Personality Disorder to me!. Maybe the "Type A" personality!. Who knows!?! Only a doctor can make a correct diagnosis though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Typical boss if you ask me!. My boss is exactly the same, i think it just might be one of those things, his personality!. Try asking a longer serving member of staff if he's always been that way!. He may very well have a mental issue that he's working out, and this is his way of coping!. All i can suggest is to carry on with your work, and just put it down to him being like this is 'normal'!. As soon as I read your description, I thought immediately of bipolar disorder!. (I have it!.) Sounds like he's "manic"!. Have you ever seen him any other way!?

I don't think he has a mental disorder, I think he is a perfectionist and a bit of a jerk!. Doesn't sound like OCD and not bipolar either!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There's clearly something wrong with him, Bearcat, but the first most important thing to do is to not let him get under your skin!.
1!. It's HIS problem, not yours!. It doesn't sound like your job is threatened in any way by this guy (is it!? You said other people left in a different email, but it didn't sound like they were fired)!.
2!. Does he crave coffee and donuts or other sweets!? It's more than this with him, but anyone who craves caffeine and Big Sugar is hypoglycemic or on their road to getting there!. No, your yearly blood test at your doctor's does not test for hypoglycemia, it will not show up on a routine physical exam --hence it usually goes undiagnosed!. America's Big Silent Epidemic!. People need to reduce their carbohydrate intake--skip the donuts, the Coke, the caffeine which feeds into the glucose highs and lows!.
3!.I read that Amino Acid Therapy works better than antidepressants--and it sure is true for me! It turns out I'm also deficient in EFA's (essential fatty acids) as are many people of Irish or Scottish descent!. I feel so much better after adding supplements to my diet!.
Of course, it's not likely that you can tell this man these things--but why am I assuming that!? Who knows!?
