What has your experience been with cymbalta?!

Question: What has your experience been with cymbalta!?
Answers:
I have been on it for about 3!.5 years- I swear by it!. But every person is different and each med will work differently for them!. The First 2-3 weeks I had a real decrease in appetite and lost like 10 lbs- I had to remind myself to eat or I wouldn't have eaten at all!. This is a common side effect and usually goes away in a couple of weeks!. Also, it gave me dry mouth for a while, but my body adjusted- I used Biotene mouthwash which is specially made for medication-drymouth!. The only bad thing I will say, is there have been a couple of occasions I ran out of my med and was off for2-3 days and I really knew it!. I got really bad headaches, tingling in my arms/hands and light-headedness, blood pressure was elevated, heart felt like it was racing!. It is definitely not something that you can stop without tapering off!. So, as far as depression- it has been a godsend, side-effects were tolerable and I always make sure to call the pharmacy well in advance for refills!.!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've been on cymbalta for about 6 months now!. Let me first say that I have been on just about every antidepressant there is: prozac, effexor, wellebutrin, paxil, zoloft, you name it! Honestly, none of them worked as good as cymbalta seems to be!. It hasnt "cured me", as depression is not my only issue, but I can most definately tell a difference!. I only hope it keeps working, and doesnt "quit" like the others seemed to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've been on Cymbalta now for about 3 months!. I have no issues now, but at the onset I was messed up for a good two weeks until my body adjusted to the meds!. I had hot cold flashes, dry throat, tingly allover, and I didn't want to eat at all!. I had to force myself to eat!. I lost 10lbs in one week! But it all does go away within a couple of weeks!. If I miss a day now, on accident, your body will let you know!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
