I can has insomnia cure?!


Question: I can has insomnia cure!?
I've always had some problems with sleep!.!.but things have been abnormally bad since I returned from Iraq last summer!. I'll stay awake for 3 - 4 days in a row and then crash for 14 to 16 hours at a time!. It's really annoying!.!.!.and I know what everyone's first reaction is going to be, but other than the insomnia itself and maybe a little more jumpiness when I got back, I don't have any other symptoms of PTSD!. I don't have bad dreams!.!.!.I don't have flashbacks!.!.!.I don't have anger control issues!.!.!.I don't drink or do drugs!.!.!.I don't feel overly stressed out!.!.!.maybe a little depressed, but hell, I was depressed before I went!. I just can't frikkin sleep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would still possibly talk to someone about it!. When my husband returned, he also had issues sleeping as well!. He takes melatonin at night!. It is natural, and it does help!.

Don't worry about it!. Either get used to lying awake in bed because your body does not need sleep or get up periodically and do something!. Do projects!. Do housework!. Write letters!. Phone insomniac friends!. Arranage the pattern of you life around your sleep patterns and needs and don't try to force things to be the way you think they should be!. When I relaxed about these matters my insomnia problems went away!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi, have you tried relaxation cd's, meditation, lavender and other oil burning remidies!? i know it sounds rather girly but i also had big troubles sleeping, i did the above washed with lavender before going to bed and getting myself into a meditated state with deep breathing and a clear mind, it took practise but has work wonders!. i also used Calms herbal tablets) just to help relax and feel less depressed, it is better than taking anti-depressants! i know the feeling!.!.!. i do that staying awake/crashing out thing too and the only advice i ever got from a doctor was 'try to go to sleep'!. *duh*!. i havn't found anything that works!. (although weed does, i guess it's not really a long term option!.) the only thing that stops me climbing the walls is going running at night when everyone else is asleep (it's weirdly peaceful) and meditating!. sounds like a retarded thing to do but a few hours of really doing nothing is better than sleep!. good luck!. xxWww@Answer-Health@Com
