I hate people who answer questions about things they don't understand >=(

I understand completely!.

Cutting is; refreshing, relieving, a nice release!. It feels good, when you would rather drag a shiny razor across your skin than deal with something else!.

It distracts you from the real inside pain!.

It makes you feel in control - you create your own pain rather than have someone or something else make it for you!.

So, I get it!. I get why you do it, it's the easiest and most self-controlled way to get relief!. It just feels good!.

BUTTTT!.!.!.!. Yeah, it's hard to get away with it!. Someone ends up seeing it at some point - and if they're someone like a parent or someone who just doesn't understand, you'll get a terrible reaction from them!. Especially years from now when you're an adult!.

Also, it could end up terrible - like mine, for example!. Ever since I started, I've been doing it DEEP!. Really deep!. No baby scratches, I'm talking GASHES!.
But once, I did it a little too deep - it cut through part of the muscles in my right arm, and since I was too scared to go to the hospital, without medical treatment, it healed terribly, with a terrible scar, and I now have these little electric zap feeling things inside my arm and it drives me FRACKING CRAZY!

Also, multiple times, I cut so deeply that I passed out from blood loss!. It's not fun!.

What also is not fun, is parents finding out and DEFINITLY not understanding >!.>

Another thing is that when you're older, after you've kicked the habit, you'll be left with the ugly scars and ugly reminders!.

EVEN if you're not doing it deeply now, you will later on need something better, something harder, something deeper - and you'll start doing it deeper and deeper and deeper!.
And that's where the lifelong scars come along!.

Cutting is a terrible addictive thing!.

Kicking the habit is hard to do, I know!.
I don't condone any type of self-harm, but a nice way to ease off of it is by pinching your skin or snapping rubber bands that you wear as bracelets whenever you feel like cutting, and slowly ease off it it all!. You'll be done with it!.

So now HOW TO HEAL THEM :
I know you don't really have access to money to buy things to help much (like tea tree oil), so!.!.!.!.
You need to wash the area!. Try not to get soap IN the cuts too much, because it'll irritate it - but make sure all is clean around it!.
Don't use things like hydrogen peroxide, because it can irritate and will also flush out the GOOD bacteria also!.
Whenever you can (when ppl aren't around) try to give it air!. Don't cover it up too much - it needs air!. Leaving it uncovered will help it heal and keep it dry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Bracelets are a great for covering them, if anything they'll just draw any attention away from them, always worked for me

Seriously though, I'm not saying you need to stop, you just need to replace it with something a little healthier that gives you that same adrenaline rush

Andrea: Cutting isn't an illness, it can be a symptom but not an illness, big differenceWww@Answer-Health@Com

i know how you feel !.!. i havent cut for a month but i cut last night!. it was awsome!. XD but really you need to stop!. same with me!. but anyway about covering them i wear a sweat shirt untill about a week later and then i put cover up on them or if there in one generally spot i put band-aids on them and when pepole i ask i say "my dog" or "i fell off my bike"!.
best of luck!.
god bless!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Seriously, you need to talk with a psychiatrist!. Cutting is your way of expressing yourself!. There must be something you've got bottled up inside, that is trying to get out, and cutting is your "release!." You need to find a healthier way to express yourself!. Please seek help with a licensed psychiatrist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

look i'm sorry but i just dont get it!.
cutting is stupid!.
its not "a way of freedom" by harming yourself!!!
its not "body art" its freaky!.
how the hell is it freedom!?!?!?!?
you are certainly sounding like a crazy to me!.
thats why everyone knows to avoid ppl like you!.
seriously, do you see anyone else saying this!?!?!?
thats because its not NATURAL!.
get it through your stupid head dummy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i used to make a fashion statement out of trying bandanas in cute colors around my wrist!.

mostly no one suspected anything, except a few close friends!.

but now it's really hard, because of the boyfriend and all!. he sees everything!. ;/Www@Answer-Health@Com

Cutting can be a serious illness and you need to stop!.!.!.im not going to verbally attack you (only cuz i know what it feels like) but i almost died because i cut too deep!.!.!.

sure body art this!.!.!.looks cool that!.!.!.it can kill you if you aren't careful!Www@Answer-Health@Com

GET HELP! YOU REALLY NEED TO STOP THIS MAN!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I understand where you're coming from, but cutting can be as addicting as drugs and you'll probably regret it when you're older and you can't wear shorts and short sleeved shirts because of the scars!. I'd suggest talking to someone who really wants to help you, an adult, but probably not your parents, and maybe they can help you stop cause it's hard!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
