Question: How long does this go on (new med ickiness)!?
I just started taking lexapro, it is my first med change!. Wellbutrin was easy, you just went on and felt cool!. But I'm tired, dizzy, nauseated, need a toilet and stuck in my house on a rainy day :(
How long on average does this new med feeling last!? I've heard a couple of days to 2 weeks!
What's your experince!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
If your body hasn't adjusted to the new medicine in a week or so, you would be wise to contact the doc to consider a dosage adjustment or medication change!. It may take a few days!.

Hang in there - give it no more than about a week (as far as this initial adjustment)!. As you probably know, it may take considerably longer, however, before you notice the positive effects!.

In the meantime, make sure you are staying hydrated!.

Best of luck,

p!.s!. Sometimes taking your dose with a few crackers or a small snack can help ward off the nausea!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i know getting adjusted to new medication is difficult!. but if the lexapro is making you sick;, then call your doctor!. the vomiting can cause you to dehydrate!. you handled wellbutrin well, so i think this is the wrong medicine for you!. your doctor will probably change it!. some people cannot take lexapro!. i could'nt!. good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
