Why do so many people want a diagnosis when they don't intend to get treatme!

Question: Why do so many people want a diagnosis when they don't intend to get treatment!?
The main purpose of having a diagnosis to know what you're treating, and therefore how best to treat it!. This is why official diagnoses are made by lisenced professionals!. I come across people who just want a label to excuse their behavior when they don't intend to do anything about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

what i dont like is people that have never suffered from depression making out that we do things to get a label as you so put it!.

When you are depressed you dont want to leave your bed let alone your house!.!.life is not black and white it does have shades of grey :)

some of us take a while to come out of it , but is harder then you think!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

sometimes it's easier to come to terms with your problems if you are able to label them!. sometimes these labels are incorrect, and sometimes they hit the nail right on the head!. but whether or not the individual does something about whatever's wrong, just knowing that there is a reason why something's not quite right can be comforting!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi fiVe,

I Know that I have a kind of depression or some other illness maybe, well it could be anything for example I've just read about Bipolar and I have most of the symptoms but I can't convince my self to get to medications or even go to psychic 'as if I don't want to believe it, or afraid to confess and then get addicted to meds and things get more' !.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe they just want to know what's going on with their bodies and why symptoms occur!.

And maybe they want to work out the treatment for themselves!?

Or maybe they are just seeking second opinion!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

they're lookin' for sympathy!. lame, i know!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
