Hey!! I'm sorry you feel this way but i do understand what you are going through!. I have depression myself and have felt suicidal at times as well!. I think the best thing you can do for yourself is to get some help!. A psychologist or councillor is probably your best bet in terms of getting yourself help!. This may be a very daunting thing for you but trust me they do help!. People who see them aren't crazy, some people see them to find better ways for managing stress in their workplace!. They are trained to deal with different situations and so will be perfectly able to help you with your depression!.

You can speak to them in confidence, meaning they are not allowed (by law) to tell anyone else about what you discuss with them unless you give them your permission first!. They will NOT just chuck you in a mental hospital unless they feel they have good reasons to - this is if you are showing signs of either hurting yourself or other people!. They work with you to find ways to help you better manage and deal with depression with different techniques and methods adapted to suit you personally!. It also just feels really good to get all that negativity off your chest and not have it bottled up!. They are nondiscriminative and will not judge you!.

Now there are a number of programs set up to help you find a good psychologist and not have to pay huge sums of money for seeing one!. If you are still at school, then your student councillor should be able to organise a meeting with one!. I know when i saw my psychologist i didn't have to pay a cent for the whole time i was there!. As part of a rural program and student program that had been set up, fees didn't apply!. But it may be different for you depending on where you live!.

Most psychologist will have another program though, where they put you on a Mental Health Plan which significantly reduces any costs you might have to pay in order to see one!. As for medication - you can certainly chose not to go on any if you don't want to!. Some people are afraid that the medications are addictive but that isn't true!. If you don't wish to go on any if they suggest it, then let them know, they will not force you to go on any, it is entirely up to you!.

Psychologists are very helpful and can offer you a lot of suggestions for improving your mental wellbeing!. But there are a lot of things you can do for yourself!. Going for a walk with a friend or family member, keeping yourself busy (as this prevents you for thinking to hard about being depressed), using relaxation methods when you start to feel overwhelmed, spending time with a family pet if you have one, doing things that you enjoy or are good at, volunteering if you have the time!.!.!. I do realise that when you are depressed it is often extremely difficult to become motivated to do any of these things but it is very important that you don't isolate yourself from people!. Try keeping yourself busy and in the company of some friends can help stop the depression getting any worse!.

If you feel that you can, talk to your parents about how you are feeling also!. Sometimes parents don't understand what you are going through and may not give you the support you need!.!.!.but don't despair, my parents were like this initially too!. Depression is a hard thing to understand if you haven't experienced it personally!. If you want the councillor to talk to your parents (sometimes adult to adult conversations can help build understanding) then you can get them to explain how things are for you at the moment!. Having supportive parents, someone you love and trust, can also be very helpful when you start to feel really upset as you can go right out and talk to them!.

The important thing here though is to not give up!. Things can and will improve once you start taking the first steps to recovery!. You have a lot to offer so please don't give up now no matter how hopeless you may feel!. Keep trying because you are strong, you have to be if you have depression!. Please look after yourself!. I wish you all the best!. Good luck!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
