Question: Is there a mental illness associated with compulsive lying!?
There is this girl that seems almost physically unable to speak anything even remotely resembling the truth!. She has lied about her age, name, where she is from (I discovered from various other people that she was "born and raised" in about 7 different major cites)!. She puts pictures of models on her myspace profile, and when someone tells her she's full of it, she'll switch it to another model!.!.!.!.
She'll tell all sorts of outrageous stories about herself, and what is worse is that she doesn't even keep track of what lie she told before!. She told one person she had a child somewhere, then that child turned into 2 children, then those 2 children turned into twins, then someone else claimed she had quadruplets in somewhere else!. Sometimes, she'll forget the lie she told 1 min earlier!.!.!.like she claimed some guy she was flirting with wasn't involved with her that it was an ex, then she said "It was my brother" She also has an obsession with being gang raped!.

Someone has made her feel so horrible about herself as a child, that she feels the need to make up stories to impress others sadly!.!.!.this is sin, also!.!.!.She sounds like she has a vivid imagination, and is not really knowing if she is telling the truth or not!.!.!.poor thing!.!.!.She does need to get into therapy, so she can think straight, and find out what triggered all of thisWww@Answer-Health@Com
She (or maybe even he!) is obviously having what is personally deemed fun on a forum that should not be taken seriously in the first place!. What you are describing sounds more like a personality disorder than a mental illness to me!. She does sound hysterical, but these things take some careful sorting out by a professional!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
