Answers:
No a therapist would not think you were crazy!.
You're not alone when it comes to self-harming so lots of therapists are used to talking and helping people who are in your same situation!.

Well there is a confidentiality between you and your therapist!.
However, you have been harming yourself but your mom already knows so that's not a problem!.
But your therapist does keep all the little details to herself (such as how long you've been doing it, what you've been using to harm yourself, etc!.)

Talking with a therapist can help you find out exactly what is causing you to harm yourself and you can talk about your feelings and have someone actually listen and understand them!.
More importantly, a therapist can help you eventually overcome your problem of self-harming!.

So go to a therapist and be honest with them!.
They really can't tell anything to your mom, there's laws of confidentiality!.
So you can say whatever you want to the therapist as long as it's the truth and only you and her will know and talk about it!.
You'll feel much better after talking to someone who will really listen!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm studying to be a counselor, and I can tell you that by law, the counselor can't tell your mom everything you tell her!. the only thing the counselor might tell your mom is if he/she thinks you're a serious threat to yourself or others (you might kill yourself or hurt someone else)!. Other than that, everything has to be between you and the counselor!.
The idea of someone being "crazy" is very outdated!. Counselors understand that everyone has problems, and everyone needs help sometimes!. A lot of people cut - it's a very common thing, and I can guarantee !.whatever counselor you've seen has seen people with worse problems who still aren't considered "crazy!."
Counseling does help!. If you don't like your counselor, or you feel like it isn't helping, tell your mom and ask to try a different one!. Not every counselor can help every client - sometimes it takes a few tries, and that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you!. Just give it an honest chance!. Be open and trust that the counselor has your best interest in mind!. If you have any other questions, email me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They won't think you are crazy, that is their job!. Their job is also to keep everything you say confidential unless it is to harm you or others around you!. (ex: I wanna kill her)!. So avoid that statement lol!. It helps for some, depending on the amount of time you stay with the therapist!. They may want to talk to you so you don't have to keep everything bottled up and that might help out a bit!. He/she may prescribe meds for you to take!. Prozac or something of that sort!.Give it a try!. I hope all goes well for you, good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The same thing is happening to me!. I cut and I'm basically addicted!. It gives me a release in some ways!. I finally told my mom and she said she was going to take me somewhere!. I actually went to the counselor and it really helped!. It helped with everything!. I suggest you go talk to one!. I was so nervous but now things are getting better and I can see that I'm happier and getting a hold of my problems!. She didn't think I was crazy and if you go see one, I'm sure they won't think your crazy!. I'm sure they have helped people with this before!.
I wish you the best of luck!
I hoped this helped you!

your counsler would not think you are crazy!. i just told my counseler aboout it and she is not judgeing me about it beacuse it is just a way you deal with your pain!. And the only way your counseler would tell your mom is if your are under 18 but if your ovr that age even if you still live with your parents they are by LAW not sopose to say anything!.If you are asking if counselering helps with problems it really all depends on you if you let it help you if you are just going to go there with a closed mind then of course itwouldnt help you just give it a try yea its scary talking to people abouot your promblems becasue you are opening your self up but at the end it is going to be worth itWww@Answer-Health@Com

My parents havn't found out yet thank goodness i have also cut for 6 yrs and know how hard it Is to stop therapists can't tell your parents anything and im sure they have seen much worse than cutting so no worried there but also I would suggest going to
www!.healthyplace!.com

Noone will think you're crazy because a lot of others have been doing it too!. I haven't, but I know people who have!.

I think you should stop because it's harming yourself and it's frowned upon by others!.!.!.
For your own safety I suggest that you should stop yourself from doing all that crap!. Doing that sutff doesn't halp you, really!.!.!.
In the end, your problems will still be there, just deal with them, everyone does!.!.!.you're growing up, s!.!.!.-h!.!.!.-i!.!.!.-t happens, don't let it get the best of you!.!.!.deal with them with the most potential you have!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need to help yourself sometimes the therapists don't work sometimes they do!. the questions you have to ask yourself are!.!.!.
why am i doing this!?
what am i going to say to my children (if i have any) if they see my scars!?
Is cutting solving my problems!?

and btw i had that problem too but mine wasn't as bad and i realized that i was just doing it to fit in but i ended up mentally wierd during that year that i had the problems!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go to the therapist, he or she will give you info on it so you can help your mom understand!. If you have support at home it will help, otherwise you isolate yourself!. Go get help, it's not you it's a behavior understand it, desensitize it, so your not focusing on "it"!. Good Luck, stay strongWww@Answer-Health@Com

Well Idk about all the answers, because it really depends on the therapist you have!. You should not tell him/her until you feel comfortable and feel like you can trust them!. That's my advice!. If you don't ever feel like you can trust them and just get a bad vibe--there's probably a reason!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

umm a lot of people do it now a days, so the therapist won't think your crazy!.
Instead of cutting yourself try a rubber band around your wrist and every time you feel the urge to cut yourself, just pull the rubber band!. The therapist should understand you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No therapists know more about this now and can deal with it and don't judge also no, ur therapist has to keep it all confidential unless u threaten to kill sumone or urself, even then they wont tell ur parents theyll get u help in a hospital or sumthing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i used to cut but it just took one time to cut to deep and i thought i was gonna die that scared me enough to stop doing it the scares are real and the damage was doneWww@Answer-Health@Com

your therapist will not think you are crazy!. a therapist really helped me in my battle with bipolar (still battling)!. they never fixed my problem, but they were a definite additive to my gradual healing process!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
