The thing to do in this situation, is to take a year or two to decide!. Go to a local community college during this year and take some general coursework, so that you can get your required courses out of the way!. Use their career services and/or counseling department on campus to take a battery of career/interest/vocational tests (e!.g!., the SDS, the Strong-Campbell, the MBTI)- the counselors there can use those test results (along with info from you) to help you with making these sorts of decisions (e!.g!., college, major, vocation)!.

Congratulations on your graduation, and best of luck in your future educational and vocational endeavors,

Being a chief is a really tough job and requires a lot of hours for not enough pay!. Sit down and really give it some good long thought!. Try business management for your first year of college and this will give you time to really think about what you want to do!. Sometimes people have several jobs before they really decide!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

what you are feeling is very natural!. Second guessing your choices is a part of discovering who you are!. I suggest you go to the school for a semester, if you are not happy or feel that you do not want to do it!.!.!.then transfer to a different school or decide where you want to go from there!. good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is the enemy putting these negative thoughts in your mind at the last minute!. GO!. Jump in with both feet, see what its like!. You can change your major if cooking doesnt suit you!. While you are there something is going to spark your interest!. This is cold feet before the wedding!. Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

follow ur hear( ik that sounds gay!.!. but its true) do what best interests u and and what u feel u are the best at doing!.!.!. and if thats not what u wanna do then dont, and if u dont know what u wanna do!.!.u will figure it out sooner or later dont worry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you've took it this far and was sure so why not give it a go anyway,
another way of looking at it is better to have had a go than just quit before you have started!.

your probably just nervous or somethingWww@Answer-Health@Com

try some different things out and see what you like best ,good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

why and how is this a mental health question!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think your just a little jittery becuase you just took a big step into the real world!. Did you ever work at a resturant!? If you did and liked it that may give you an idea the the culinary arts are for you!. If you never worked at a resturant and only cook at home you may want to hold off from school for a year or two and just get a job!. What you can also do is think of a career you think you would like and go to an employer and ask to shadow for a day!. This should give you an idea!. You may also want to consider joining the army they can test you to give you an idea what career you're best suited for(in the army that is) Anyways good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

try going to a community college for a couple years!. It will be a good way to figure out what you like!. Although working in a couple different fields will help you figure out what you can tolerate!.

like for me, I like working with people, but not for long periods of time!. I like working with technology and in a team enviornment without direct supervision!. And i don't like jobs where i sit around and do mundane things like paperwork, ect!.!.!.!. The only way I found this out is by working!. It really isn't the end of the world to wait a coule years to go to college!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

hey chica, relax =)

dont stress about the college thing
if you arent going to like it, then why go!?
forget the college and start finding out what YOU want to do

make a list of things that you have always wanted to try, and take a year off or so and live it up a little and get to know yourself !.!.!.

like, do as many things as you can !.!.!. travel, learn to surf, learn a language, voulenteer, whatever

you never know where your intrests will take you

then, when you feel ready, really sit yourself down and ask yourself what it is that you want to do with your future and worry about school then

just remember, it always works out in the end =)

good luck girl!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't get too upset about this!. I am 27 and still don't know what to do! But I never regretted going to college! (I have a BA in Criminology and I'm interested in finding a job in the Interior Design field!) College is about so much more than the subject you study! Some of the things you get from going to college other than a degree in a specific field are personal growth, good friends, future professional hook-ups, a general knowledge of the world as it is today, an ability to see things in abstract ways, and a stronger sense of independence!. One very important thing for you to remember is that you can change schools or majors while you are there!. You are not completely locked into this decision! My advice to you is to go to this school and give it a chance (which means staying there for a year)!. If you decide it's not for you, change your major or transfer to another school!. Get you feet wet!. You might find that you have made the right choice in the middle of a class! Or you might find that you would prefer studying Ecology! You won't know unless you get your feet wet! Just relax and remember that just by going to college (even if it is not exactly where you want to be) you have made a huge step forward in providing for yourself a meaningful and successful future!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, if you are having doubts I would not do to that school!. I think culinary schools tend to be expensive, so don't waste your money if you're not sure that's what you want!. I'm not saying give it up, but to post pone it for a year atleast!. Go to a community college and just do some general ed until you figure it out!. Maybe your counselor can have you take one of those tests to see what would be a good job for you to do!.

Are you living with your parents or are they paying for your school!? I would talk with them asap, so that they aren't surprised when all of a sudden you don't go off to college and so that they know not to pay the school ahead of time!. But just hang in there--most people change their majors 2 or 3 times before they graduate!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Are you freaking out because you are nervous or because you really don't know about cooking!? You do realize that nothing is written in stone and you can change your mind at anytime during the process!. You can call and choose not to go and do some career exploration either on your own at the local library or at a community college!. You can go and see how it is when you get there and get started to be sure it isn't just the fear of doing something out of your safety zone!. What's most important to remember is you have choices and plenty of time to make them!. That doesn't mean wait until your 40, it just means there is no reason to panic!. Your at an exploration part of your life and your not supposed to know what you want to do, this is a time of finding out what you want to do!. I'm sure you will find something that suits you and people who will support you along the way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
