I had bulinia for 22 years, and it is really hard to overcome!. You need to go and get some professional help!. That way, you can get to the bottom of the problem, and work on either solving it or finding better outlets than the bulimia!. It is a deadly, vicious cycle and addiction, so get help now!. There are some meds this day and time that will also help you with it!. Good luck! As for the way your mom is treating you, she means well and is just concerned about your health, but more pressure on you will just make it worse!. Ask the therapist to help you with the problem with your mom--my mom was the same way, and it just made me worse!. Get to a therpist immediately--Bulimia is very deadly!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ask your mother to take you to the doctor!. This is a medical condition, and should be treated as such!. Try to find a councilor at school whom you can talk to about this, and maybe they might have referrals to some kind of treatment program!. Also some adult needs to talk to your mother, and get her to understand that telling you to stop right away isn't helping!. Keep reaching out, keep coming on to this site to talk about it, and sooner or later, you will find the help you (and your mother) need!. God Bless!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

What people have said is true!.!.!.bulimia is a medical condition and it can have very serious physical and emotional consequences!. Suggestions for you to talk with a counselor and your doctor are right on!. The good news is that while this disorder is very serious, it is much more treatable than others, like anorexia, and we have some medicines, with therapy, that can be very helpful!.

In the short term, while working towards talking to your doctor, I highly recommend a book called "Overcoming bulimia" by a guy named McCabe!. Its a workbook based on a therapy model called CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) which is the best studied treatment therapy type for bulimia!. Its a workbook that you do, not your therapist or you mom, and it will help you take a look at the illness, your eating patterns and some of the thoughts/feeling that drive your concerns about weight!. Its a good way to start and asking Mom to pick it up for you will probably give her something to do since, as one poster stated, she really just wants to help and is worried about you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well, the first step is admitting you need help and wanting that, you have already gotten that far, next is try to stop
you probably think you are not skinny enough, most times the skinny people think that so just keep telling youself that you do not need to loose any more weight
you also may need to get proessional help, since you want it, it will work!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

please try this
Mediation technique

We experience life through our mind!.
Experiences are what they are, but the mind often puts a new spin on them, making them seem worse at times!.
This produces the pain we feel inside, and when it builds up enough we either hurt others or ourselves!.
Not because we are bad or evil, but we aren't sure how to deal with the agony inside!.
The longer it stays, the more dead/dull we feel inside!.

Meditation is all about controlling you mind rather than being controlled by it!.
It is difficult to directly approach the mind and tame it, so we start by approaching the nearest manifestation of it- breath!.
It can be seen that when we have tremendous concentration we are not breathing as regularly, and when upset breath shallow and rapid!.

How to do this!.
Begin by becoming aware of your breath!.
With each inhalation pay attention to the air entering you right nostril(air will enter both, but focus on the column of air in the right side)
Exhale and pay attention to the column leaving your left nostril!.
Inhale and pay attention to air entering the left nostril
Exhale and pay attention to air exiting the right nostril!.
Then breath deep and feel the air in both sides rise up to the tip of your nose(like an inverted V ),
and push it all out(feeling both sides)!.
This is one cycle, you can do up to 100 in a day!.

It is a simple game to keep the mind busy(if you loose track on count restart), and off the things it can't change with worry(realistically everything)!.
As you get better at this you'll be able to identify a space between your thoughts!. As that awareness deepens you'll feel a peace when it arises!. And soon you should be able to identify yourself as that peace rather than your mind!.

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
