You will get less tired after taking it for a few weeks!. A suggestion is to take your medicaiton a little earlier in the evening!. I realise this means going to bed earlier too and you may not want to do this!. However, might be worth trying until the effects lessen!. Best wishesWww@Answer-Health@Com

Olanzapine or (Zyprexa) is a powerful medication with many side effects!. Doctors often perscribe it because they are too lazy to deal with your problem and find out what's causing it!.

If you are schizophrenic or bipolar then off course I am wrong and your doctor is probably doing the right thing!. However if your problem is depression, panic attacks, anxiety or agoraphobia, I suggest you get off the meds immediately!. They are not the answer in these cases!. Consider therapy, NLP, CBT, supplements Yoga, - anything that can help you and help you stay off the meds!.

To reduce the side effects, make sure you take the meds with food, and drink plenty of water!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes it will wear off once your body gets use to the new medicine or the new doseage!. It is simply a side effect!. IM not sure what you could do to help with the tirednees ty asking your doctor!. my seoquel did the same thing to me and i couldnt find anything to help being tired!. I just dealt with it for a month or so till i got use to it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sleepiness is a big problem with olanzapine!. I take it!. I sleep for about eleven hours a night!. Only thing I know you can do is drink coffee and hope for the best!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Usually after taking a medication for 6 wks or so, the sleepiness side effect wears off!. If this doesn't happen for you, let your doctor know!. Hope that helps!
