I cut myself for the first time today..?!


Question: I cut myself for the first time today!.!.!?
I just got so angry!.!. and did it with a knife!.!. It was because i felt so helpless and not in control!.
How can i never, ever do it again!? What are other ways to let my emotion out!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I really do understand what you are going through!. I did alot of the similar stuff when I was younger, carved things in my arms and legs, just to feel!. But, that was not the answer!. I had to go to counseling, and I found that I was inflicting pain on myself just to feel again!. I had been through so much hurt and pain that I had to shut myself down emotionally, then when I couldn't feel, I had to cause pain to feel!.
Cutting yourself is no way the answer, yes it will make you feel, for the moment, but the long time scars are seriously not worth it!. Talk to a counselor for real, and don't hold back!. If you start with cutting, sooner or later, that won't be enough!. Get help now, please!.!.!.Your life is worth so much more!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

thats a road you dont wanna start on!.!.!. i cut myself several times when i was like, 14-15 and high school!.!.!. still have a few scars!.!. its something youll grow out of i think, the whole concept is pretty fuggin stupid when you think about it!.
here are some less harmful ways to vent:
- talk to a close friend or family member who you can say anything to and vent
- listen to heavy metal at full volume
- mosh pit/crowd surf/rock out at a concert
- punch a pillow
-put a glass bottle (or anything glass/breakable) into a plastic bag and smash it with a hammer!.!.!.(this works surprisingly better than you would think)
- drink! (though i guess thats harmful as well)
***- think of starving children or people with AIDS and people who have more serious problems and be thankful for the problems that you have!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Many people cut themselves!. Please don't feel ashamed!.

If you want to talk to someone about why you wanted to, then I would highly recommend it!.

There are many reasons why people start and you are not alone!. Therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists will be familiar with many issues that you may have, so don't be afraid!.

Could I suggest getting a rubber band and pinging this instead of cutting though!? The red ones that the Royal Mail use in the UK are quite effective and give the stinging sensation that you might be after!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

also i mean even if you feel like nobodies there foryou, theree really is somebody that cares about you!.
talk to anybody about your problems!. anything is better then cuttting yourself!.

You have got to have a way to let out all the anger locked up inside of you and this is a fantastic way to do it

You will be doing something that your body and mind will love you fore a way to let out all that adrenaline out that is the chemical that makes us hyper at times

Seek therapy, to help you address the actual cause of those problems, rather than using an inappropriate method of treating the symptoms, which others have found, doesn't work, in the longer term, and that leaves behind the extra problem of scarring to deal with, then!. ~~~ ANGER MANAGEMENT: If you can't deal with it by using one of the techniques, such as counting backwards from 20, to 1, (and prevent yourself from making yourself angry, in the first place) is important to express that anger appropriately, at the time, and to the person who caused it, if possible, or immediately afterwards!. If not, maybe by walking away later, and bellowing your rage!. In some situations, such as work, or school, it might be better to cover your mouth with a cupped hand, bandanna/handkerchief, or use the crook of your elbow, to muffle the sound!. Some people find that it helps to journal those thoughts, and emotions soon afterwards!.

Anger, which is repressed, rather than healthily expressed, tends to fester, and later may cause explosive fits of rage, or depression!. It helps to have someone you can talk to!. For more physically inclined people, a punching bag, or hitting your pillow, can be an effective release mechanism: visualise, as vividly as you can, that you are striking back at the cause of that anger!. "But next time, when you get mad, just remember this quote: 'Those who anger you, conquer you!.' It's basically saying that when you give someone the power to make you mad, or let it get to you, it's like they're controlling you!. When I realized that, it made me mad, so I try to control my anger and not let people see it!. You can still control your anger without being walked all over!. You just have to draw a line!." Try saying to yourself, in your mind: "I am fire! I am ice!"!. Repeat for as long as it takes for you to calm down sufficiently!.
