How can I alleviate stress?!


Question: How can I alleviate stress!?
I have real trouble de-stressing especially after a bad day or when the weather is gloomy!. I'm currently suffering from depression and am on antidepressants!.
I would love some tips to combat stress, as I get terrible muscle pain and have nightmares which cause sleepless nights!.
I need some soothing tips!.

Answers:
First, get off the meds!. They will only fuel your depression!. I know this from personal experience!. Even if the meds will make you feel better for a while, as soon as you ever stop taking them you will be back to your miserable self!.

Things that help alleviate stress:

1)Exercise (do it even if you don't want to) Yes, even if you have to force yourself to do it!. No reason to lift weights or run for hours!. Some brisk walking a few hours a day, some stomach crunches, maybe an exercise bike!. Yes I know it can be boring and painful!. You want to be healthy!?

2)Yoga!. Find a good instructor that will start from the beginning and slowly and patiently guide you to wellness!.
Don't bother with instructors that try to instill sectarian views into you!. Don't let them tell you how to live and what to eat!. They can get a little obsessive with these things!. Proper diet and regimen is off course necessary, but there is a difference between "smart" and "obscessive"!.

3)Look into supplements:

a)Saint John's Wart
b)Valerian Root
c)Vitamin B Complex

4)Try therapy

a)NLP
b)CBT

5)Get busy!. Do chores around the house!. Cook for your family!. Wash dishes!. Vacuum the floors!. Walk the dog!. Brush the cat!. Clean the fish tank!. Learn something new like playing the piano!. Don't give yourself free time!. Free time is when you think about how miserable you are and how messed up your life is!.

6)Buy some self help books!. Check out Amazon!.
I recommend "Feel the fear and do it anyway!" by Susan Jeffers!.

First, let me tell you that I think stress is due to being attentive, concern, responsible and in touch with your self in relation to how you react to situations that require lots of attention!. Sometimes you just can not resolve all the problems that you may confront on a daily basis!. This May cause you to get stressed out!. I would rest, pause, eat healthy, do exercise, and go back to try to resolve the problems that are causing stress!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can try relaxation breathing, mild activity (walking) in bad weather walk up and down stairs or in a Mall, reduce caffine,sugar!. Visit with friends, find an activity that keeps your mind focused on something other than work or the weather!. i!.e!. models of cars, planes, ships, buildings, puzzles!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Honey you need to go work out and eat good healthy food and take some cascara sagrada so your not consitpated anymore!. 75% of your seritonin (happy thoughts) are made in colon so if your constipated you will feel depressed!.

CD's of just sounds of the ocean waves are sold in some stores!. To me, that is very relaxing, to lie down and close my eyes and listen to a CD like that on headphones!. I imagine myself on a deserted beach under a canopy tent - - getting a nice massage from someone with great hands!.

Speaking of massages, if you could afford to get one of those regularly, that would help also!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have had this problem and you need to join a YMCA or some kind of workout place!. The work out will help you get rid of some of the stress!. then go into the hot tub and steam room and it will help you with the muscle pain!.Do some stretching and don't lay in the bed all the time!.
