I get panic attacks from loneliness, what should I do?!


Question: I get panic attacks from loneliness, what should I do!?
During the week I seem to be alright, but on friday and saterday nights I'm a mess - - I'll admit, I dont have many friends - - its difficult when most the people your own age are in the middle of raising families -- and I'm single to boot!.!.!.!.

Anyhow - - weekends are really hard, and I have been both very alone and lonely for a long time - - and its getting to the point where I'm starting to have very bad anxiety and panic attacks about being alone/lonely on the weekends!.

I can't afford therapy right now, not medication!.!.!.!.

Is there anything else you guys might suggest!?

Something I should consider journaling about!?
An activity!?

I didn't know I would find someone else like me who gets down depressed on the weekends!.!. I don't know what to do!.!. but this is to let you know 'I am the same way'!
I am not a very social person but i still go out for a walk and enjoy places where there are people!.!.!.!. on weekends I feel like I have nothing to do and all the shops close early and then it just gets lonely and sad!. by the way I am taking zoloft (in the process of starting it again) I think it helps a bit!.!.

panic attacks are a releasing of chemicals and should have very mild difference if your alone !.!.they can awaken you from your sleep make sure it really is panic attacks and not something like low blood sugar!.!.!.very often misdiagnosed also you should notice more attacks around people if anything but they come and go either way !.!.!.hope this helps


Ah one last thought!.!.!.there is something they call pre exempting attacks!.!.!.which is fear of attacks that systematically cause the attack that is a possibility my have developed a phobia about being alone and that causes you to worry till you actually have an attack like other associate going to walmart for example to the point to where they have an attack before even entering the building just knowing they have to go!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would start exercising and getting active that always helps!. Also, try to plan some events or things to do that will pass time on the weekends!. Other than that, try to get out and meet new people!. It can be hard to do but you'l find your groove about it!. I get panic attacks too and I know the feeling, they are horrible!. Maybe even have a glass of wine or somethin on the weekends, if you don't drink focus on the exercise!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Volunteer your time with youth groups, kids need it these days!. I had the same symptoms once and I coached a youth basketball team, this lifted my confidence and shortly later I met my husband and we had a daughter, it's never too late!Www@Answer-Health@Com

There must be HUNDREDS of social clubs out there - find something that interests you!.
