Cutting/self-harm?!


Question: Cutting/self-harm!?
i used to cut myself, and punch walls and hurt myself in any ways that i could!. i have anxiety disorder, major depression, borderline personality disorder, and more disorders!. im not medicated anymore, so i always randomly go into bouts of deep depression when theres nothing actually bugging me!. and when that happens, all i have on my mind is cutting myself or hurting myself in any way!.

what things could i do to substitute cutting and self-harm!?

and im not putting this on here for attention, i'm not giving out my real name or any other real info about myself!. i made this account so i could ask questions i'm afraid to ask people that know who i am!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i cut myself too and i'm afraid that if i go to therapy they'd tell my parents!. tell your friends, they're a great help!. there is no substitute!. all i do is just put my cutter aside, and everytime i think of doing it i'd rethink it and say "is it really a good idea!?" and then i wont do it!. i've already been 1 month sober because of that!. if it works for me, maybe it'll work for others!. as for the disorders, maybe you should take some time!. just one whole hour of rest/freedom!. my advice to you is watch some humourous film that you love!. it'll take the stress away, believe me!. movies like FRIENDS or HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER ir THE SIMPSONS would help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Find a new hobby, like art, drawing, writing, singing!.
Go for a run when you need to think about things
instead of cutting!.
My savior was music! It helped me SO much when I
used to cut!. Some songs do tempt you to cut,
but some songs give you this feeling that you have
control!. Because I know when you cut you have a
feeling you have control of something, but in reality
CUTTING controls YOU!. Stay strong! All you need
is GREAT determination & will!. Because honestly,
if you don't 100% want to stop cutting, you WONT!. I know!.!.
You have to WANT it!. Not partially want it!. You have to want

Get involved in a sport or some other activity that doesn't include you hurting yourself!. This will distract you and perhaps take out your urge to mutilate yourself!.

I found out a couple months ago that one of my best friends cuts himself!. It crushed me!. He didn't think anybody loved him and that made me feel like dirt!. So I would suggest you recieve psychological help immediately if you know what's good for you, your family and friends!. Please get help!! Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

seek therapy!. only you can find something that substitues this behavior, and make sure it's healthy because!.!.!.well whats the point of trading one vice for another!?

I recently took up origami, learned it from the internet and it made me feel good that i could do somthing and it takes up time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

first!.you could be mad!.now think!.mad because the lipstick your wearing doesnt feel right!.yes i know silly!.but it could be more than just you!.it could be whats around you!.the people you hang with!.the people you see everyday!.it could be something you watched on tv!.or a song!.and well a smell!.now to the question!.you can write a poem,you can do art at home!.cook!.you can think of cutting and as your starting to do it!.think,do i want this,or can i do something to open my mind to put this behind me!.you can i know silly but make homemade art at home!.with 1c flour,1/2c warm water,1/2c salt,mix well in to a ball!.it will be sticky!.then shape in to what you want!.back for a few hours on 250 in the oven then pain with acrylic paint!.i know silly!.but it does work!.think of the reason your doing this and do art,or write,sing!.i hope i helped!.good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
