Anyone get a positive effect from Zoloft?!

I also take Zoloft and I've gone off of it without telling my wife!. Within a week, she asked me if I was taking my medication!. I told her that I stopped because I didn't notice a difference in my moods!. My wife said that she does see a major difference in the way I handle things and to please start taking my meds again!. In about a 2 week period I was back to what she calls normal!.

As the person taking the meds, you don't notice a change, but the people around you do!. Get back on it!. I can tell you first hand that it keeps me in check and I don't get angry as quickly and I think things through before acting on it!. I take mine just before I'm going to bed so the affect of being drowsy doesn't effect my daily routine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I didn't get any effect from it, i started off on Lexapro, then Paxil, then Zoloft, then Cymbalta AND Zoloft at the same time and that seemed to be the right cocktail for me!.!.!.!.!.!.most of the time!. I been taking the two for about a year now, and the only time i didn't take them was a week ago when i ran out and had to go a whole week w/o!. During that week EVERYTHING made me angry, i had the worst case of anxiety i have ever had!. And when i called up my counselor, doctor, triage nurse, at the clinic where i go i screamed at them!. Everyrthing that could go wrong that week DID!.

My advice is stay away from meds and anti depressants!. And to whoever said it took a long time for the meds to kick in, is only kidding himself!. They only add to the problem, and I don't care if I sound like Tom Cruise!. I am a former drug addict, former cutter and I also used to burn myself etc, and I was suicidal, and I recovered with therapy, family friends, and most importantly MY WILL AND WANT TO LIVE! I was given Zoloft took one pill and was sick all day!. I threw that garbage out, and took charge of my life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was on Zoloft and now I am in the process of getting back on it!.!. it worked wonders when I was on it!
I did notice some things which changed like I was worrying less, I was less obsessive about things and could put things at the back of my mind, but in a very 'subtle' kind of a way!.!. When I was off of it!.!. people around me noticed more than I did!.!.

i'm sixteen and have been on zoloft for around!.!.!. two weeks!. so prob not long enough to take any real effect!.

but i've experienced major constipation, headaches, stomach aches and very disturbed sleeping because of it!.

i dont feel any different!.!.!. but sort of like i'm living in a blur!. its sort of made me numb!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was on it or a few years, and it destroyed me!. It made me sleep about 14 out of 24 in a day!. I didn't sleep when I was in school but after,I was out like a light!. It isn't exactly the right kind o medicine I would recommend anyone to take!. See a Psychologist first before taking this drug!. Many suicides happen over this drug!. Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It didn't help me at all!. I took it a while ago too!.!.I felt really crappy!. I was ALWAYS tired and I just felt worse!. I wanted to hurt myself even more!. It didnt change me at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
