Question: Depression & borderline personality!?
I've been on effexor for 9 month now !.!.!. but i still feel sometimes lack of intreast in everything !.!.!. my Dr!. told me that i have borderine personality 2!.!.!. am still having suicidal thoughts !.!.!.although its less than b4 !.!.i really don't know what to do !.!.!. am thinking to for zoloft !.!.!. but the Dr!. told me effexor is one of the best !.!.!.!.

if your asking if you have both!.!.!.(i am not a doctor) but it sounds like it!. BPD and depression can cause suicidal thoughts and a feeling of complete emptiness! when you feel total emptiness nothing can make you happy!.
i would say talk to your pdoc again, if your really thinking of suicide PLEASE seek help!. i have BPD and i have tried to commit suicide 3 times!. life with BPD is hard and rough, but you can be a survivor of this disorder!. stay in treatment, take your meds and keep your pdoc notified of any mood changes!.

I am recovering from a depressive situation as well!. I am taking Efexor-XR, 75mg every day for the past 5 months and have found that if I miss a day or two, I get really "disconnected" from the world!.
My wife kept telling me,!.!.!."You don't need those pills" so I stopped taking them!. Well let me tell you, it took only 2 days and I was getting cranky for no reason and I could feel myself as being "disconnected and dizzy"!.
Went back to the doctor and he showed me the "fine print" of,!.!.!.!.!.Do Not Stop without supervision!.
So, long story short,!.!.!.!.!.!.!.you may not need NEW medication, you just have to take your existing medication and modify your lifestyle to assist!. You Know!?
