1st visit to psychiatrist?!

Question: 1st visit to psychiatrist!?
I have depression and it is going to be my 1st visit to psychiatrist!. So those of you who have been to psychiatrists lot of times, tell me what kind of questions does psychiatrist asks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
They ask you absolutely everything!. Your schooling, family, social life, relationships between various people, what you think depression is and what the symptoms of your depression are, how it effects you and your relationships in the different areas of your life!. It's a bit daunting the first time and they just constantly write notes and ask you to explain things over and over if they don't quite understand what you're trying to say!. It's a good assessment of what help you could benefit from though!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't be worried about it - as the others have said you will be asked lots of questions about yourself and what's been happening to you!. It's not a test and there are no right and wrong answers!. It's to assess the depth of your depression, what could be contributing factors and what the best course of treatment might be!.
They want to help you get better, so just 'tell it like it is' !

most of the questions are innocqious and easy, they are more interested in how you respond than what you actually answer, be truthful and open, don't be closed and defensive!. Remember they are there to try to help you!.
