I am worried I may have schizophrenia. I am hearing voices--Like SOMEONE talking!

Question: I am worried I may have schizophrenia!. I am hearing voices--Like SOMEONE talking to me!!!?
I do have a history of long term drug use, SEVERE depression, and PTSD (I was raped and molested by a brother when I was very young)!. I am "situationally agoraphobic"--meaning I can't grocery shop, or go to my Social security appointments, for being around others (THAT I FEEL HAVE ALOT IN COMMON WITH ME) makes me have a severe panic attack!. I have to take clonazepam to be able to go into the sparse public, but haven't seen a Wallmart in 4 years, for they are too busy!. The voices ALL tell me things negative--You'll never get approved for this, You'll never find someone to love you, You'll never be able to work in THAT field, I am worthless, and should just kill myself"!. I have had depression for 20 years!. Suicide attempted 2 times!. The only family that has some value for me would NOT accept me, or would criticize me MORE if I admitted I heard these other people telling me these things, too!. I feel so very alone, and am scared to sleep!! I have Night Terrors, as well!. I'm a wreck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

When you hear voices saying negative things about you, that is reinforcing what you believe about yourself!. Sometimes these things are caused by Schizophrenia, but not always!. Severe depression can sometimes cause people to hear voices also!.
It sounds to me like you are really scared of living your life; as if fear is holding you captive!. I am not going to try and diagnose what is happening for you, but I do think you should talk to your doctor!. PTSD, depression and anxiety!.!.!.!.!.!.sounds like you have a lot to deal with!. Give yourself some credit for dealing with all of this!. You shouldn't have to do it alone though!. TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR!.!.!.!.!.PLEASE!! I know it is hard to ask for help but if you do, then you can start down the road to recovery!. If you are still taking drugs, they are only going to help in the immediate short term!. If you are still doing drugs you need to talk to your doctor about treatment for that!. Drugs will intensify all the symptoms you are talking about!. This is something you can do to help yourself!.
Some people don't appreciate how hard it is to deal with mental health problems, and how much courage it takes just to make it through the day sometimes!. Just remember this slogan used by GROW

People who mind, don't matter
People who matter, don't mind!.

Involve yourself with people who matter :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi, It is a difficult time you are going through! Let me tell you one thing, the fact that you managed to write all these things here it is clear that all that you are hearing is not true, and i admire you for the fact that you are so objective about the things that are happening to you!. I would call my psychiatrist and talk to him in private, you do not have to tell your family, and if they love you they should accept you as you are!. Good luck sweet!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to see a therapist bro!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi,
First of all , you have to know exactly what is happening in the brain while getting these voices:
Using brain imaging techniques (ie using a brain scanner), researchers can see which parts of the brain are active during different tasks!. So, using these brain imaging techniques researchers can see which parts of the brain are active whilst you are experiencing psychotic symptoms, such as hearing voices!. This shows that when you are hearing voices part of the brain, called Broca's area, is active!. This is the same area that is active when a person without psychosis makes inner speech, such as when reciting a poem to themselves!. This shows that the voices originate within the brain, in just the same way inner speech is generated!. The difference is that with hallucinations (e!.g!. voices) the auditory cortex is also activated!. The auditory cortex is normally active when we are listening to sounds, such as somebody talking!. So, when you have hallucinations of hearing voices, Broca's area and the auditory cortex are both active, making it seem like the voices are coming from outside!. Whereas, in inner speech (such as silently reciting a poem to oneself) only the Broca's area is active and we recognise it as our own silent speech!.
In the end, I'd advice u to visit a good therapist cuz ur condition is a way too terrible but it can be treated well!.
You can't live like this !.!.!.!.I know that life sucks at time but things always get better!.!.!.Try to be positive and be away from people that dont seem to accept u!.!.
Live is interesting n nice!.!.!.you have to live it to the fullest or u gonna regret it later on!.
It's always up to u to choose how to see it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Dear Chuckie,
You are not a wreck!. Please don't see yourself that way!. Just that you have been raped and molested and have severe depression don't make you less worthy than other people!. Each person has his/her value and each one is valuable in God's eyes!. I used to have depression and schizophrenia!. I used to hear voices that said bad things about me!. I had been on medicine for a number of years!. At one point, I planned to suicide!. But at the end, I found out that when I resist to believe in those "voices" (which came from my illusion and low self-esteem and could be from Devil), when I believe that I am valuable and I am loved by God, I didn't hear the "voices" any more!. Nowadays, I don't have to depend on the medicines!. So, in your case, I think it is very important that you start to accept yourself, see yourself as valuable as other human beings, and is lovable!. If the "voices" continue to bother you, please get help from a psychiatrist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Are you actually literally hearing voices talking to you!? Like actual people!? Then you could have schizophrenia!. It's really in your own mind, but a schizophrenic lacks the ability to differentiate due to loss of brain tissue from the disease!. They will often be seen having conversations with people that aren't there!. You could actually be suffering this, or the drug use could be responsible for brain damage causing psychosis and these symptoms

If you are just feeling really negative about yourself, and experience social anxiety, I would say you are suffering from depression and social anxiety disorder!.

You should really let a psychiatrist evaluate you, you may have a serious mental condition or may just need your clonazepam dosage raised, or to find a medication that works better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
