Question: Suicidal/Depression Hotlines!?
Someobdy reccomended to me I should call one!. What do the people do, and what do they talk about with you!? Would it be the same thing as a counsellor or Psyciatrist (sp)!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Since your talking about depression and suicidal topics, you will discuss about them!. Try it!. If you do not have any guts to consult for you do not have money to pay, I might as well try to help you!.
Always think positive and forget about the past!. You need to grow, to move on as a normal person!. Always drink 10-15 glasses of water for it will wash away some negative particles in your body!.

WORST,if they think you will hurt yourself they will call the cops before you hang up!.Make sure you make it clear that you just want to talk that you have no intention on hurting yourself!.!.!.!.!.!.I went to the out patient clinic and talked with a doctor about being depressed!. 2 weeks later he called me telling me there is an out patient program I could attend where I could talk to someone weekly and it helped alot!.!.!.!.!.!.!.When they see you they can determine weather you are suicidal over the phone they are guessing!.!.Try it doesn't mean anything is wrong just means you need someone to talk to on a regular basic!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Blessings of Peace!.!.Blessings YahooWww@Answer-Health@Com

Pick up your phone book and in the front there are a list of numbers you can call!.
They will talk to you about how your feeling now and why!. It is not the same thing as a psyciatrist!. They are people who are there for those who need to talk about problems and their feelings!. Try it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

As far as I know, they do not call the cops on you!. The people who man the phones are necessarily trained therapists, psychologists, or psychiatrists, but they have received intensive training in suicidology!. They are there to lend you their support, to listen to you, and to guide you through the pain you are experiencing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
All phone books have a listing for suicide hot lines!. They are usually to county or non profit!. The difference is you speak with a trained specialist not have to wait for an apt!. It is all confidential and they discuss what ever is troubling you!. I believe they remove the stigma that can be put apon people who need the help,
