This friend of yours needs help ASAP! Please talk to the school counsler!. I'm afraid your friend may kill himself or seriously hurt himself especially if he's done it before!. You've mentioned serious warning signs!. Mention these all to your school counsler!. He does sound almost bipolar but I'm not an expert and I don't know your friend!. Is it posssible that's he's on drugs!? His behavior also is indicative of drug usage especialy like opiates!. So many kids are abusing prescription drugs especially painkillers like Oxycontin!. Whatever the case, your friend does need immediate help!. It almost sounds like he may need hospitalization!. STEP IN BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE! PLEASE PROMISE YOU WILL!!! Not to scare you but a lot of these kids that are doing these school shootings often display the same warning signs!. That's another reason to intervene now!. He may not just want to hurt himself but others as well!. He is either mentally ill or on drugs or both and he needs help, NOW!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Does he do drugs!? and if you are not a doctor, do not throw words like bi-polar around!. Tell him to get help, Yahoo answers does not have a medical license!. Also if he is cutting himself, there is a good chance he has a mental disorder, thats fairly extreme unless he is trying to get attention!. Tell him to see a doctor, he might just have a chemical imbalance, but he could also have a tumor attached to his pituitary gland, only way to know is to ask a specialist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

maybe manic depression!.!.!.
idk those are alot of the symptoms related with manic depression!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Bipolar disorder is not a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders defined by the presence of one or more episodes of abnormally elevated mood, clinically referred to as mania!. Individuals who experience manic episodes also commonly experience depressive episodes or symptoms, or mixed episodes in which features of both mania and depression are present!. These episodes are normally separated by periods of normal mood, but in some patients, depression and mania may rapidly alternate, known as rapid cycling!. Extreme manic episodes can sometimes lead to psychotic symptoms such as delusions and hallucinations!. The disorder has been subdivided into bipolar I, bipolar II, Bipolar NOS, and cyclothymia based on the type and severity of mood episodes experienced!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like your friend is in a crisis mode, and need help!. I suggest talking to someone at your school, like the guidance councilor or school psychologist!. If you have a relationship with his parents you may want to reach out to them!. If he can talk to a professional he may be able to figure out what's going on with him!. Don't let him be diagnosed on yahoo answers, seek outside help!. Continue to be a good friend and listener if he lets you!. Best! ~cWww@Answer-Health@Com
