Answers:
I was diagnosed with schizophrenia and the voices I heard were trying to get me to lay down and go to sleep so they played some of the best music I have ever heard!. I had never heard it before either and it was just the type that I like - all instumental and very melodic!. I am not manic depressive, but I did have a lot of energy as I always do when I have full blown schizophrenia!. It's common to have an energy reserve when you're fighting for your life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This isn't an answer to your question but that happens to me all the time and it calms me down!. I had a weird experience one time where I had my head phones on but the music wasn't on but it was playing in my head!. I heard exact tones and all and I thought my music was actually playing until like a couple minutes later I realized that my mp3 wasn't even on!. It felt so real!. And I remember checking like three or four times to make sure I wasn't actually listening to music!. lol none of this really answered your question sorryWww@Answer-Health@Com

Hope you are well today!. Yes I have heard all types of songs and voices while I was in that state!. I thought I was totally in dispensable!. No one could hurt me, I could take care of myself!.!.!.no help needed!. Little did i realize at that time!.!.!.I needed those that loved and wanted to care for me!. This was also a time in which God touched me and many of my walls were taken away!. I had lost so many inhibitions that I had lived with!. Did I want to be sick!.!.No, however things do happen and because of this i in turn was changed to a much better person, being able to really worship openly for the first time in my life!. As I began to get better some of these walls started to surround me again!. But now I can cry somewhat openly, raise my hands and began to use freely the things of the Spirt!. For this I am so grateful!. Thanks for asking this question as it has now caused me to remember this drastic imporvemnet in my life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Actually, plenty of people who have no mental health issues experience this!. It is common in mania but that's not only when it occurs!. If you were comforted by it then it's probably your mind's way of relieving anxiety in a stressful situation!. I may not be right though!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am bipolar and have been since 1992!. Initially, I experienced racing thoughts, couldn't sleep or calm down during a manic episode!. This rarely happens anymore, but I sure wish I'd heard music like you do, perhaps that would have calmed me!. God bless,

I don't know about that!. I think we all have that!. My head is like a jukebox all the time!. I always thought it was because music was very important to me!. I wouldn't say it has any emotional effect on me; it's just there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not an answer either, but it is often recorded in cases of solitary confinement, that people can hear entire synphonies, note for note, in their heads!.
