I have been diagnosed with social anxiety a few years ago!. I had been on Effexor for 2 years!. I found that it worked very well for me!. Some side effects, weight loss, each for different people though!. I have to say though I felt calm in my head and my thoughts, easy to sleep!. I was on a low dose 37!.5 mg very weak dose but it worked for me!. I had also taken paxil and I didn't like that one to much!. I think you will find that Effexor will take about 3 weeks to fully kick in but then you will have a renued sence of peace with it!. I wish you the best of luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have been on paxil, zofloft, and effexor all of which I had horrible side effects from!. I am now on lexapro and it makes me more anxious but helps with depression!. I told my doc about being anxious worse than before and she said she thinks Im bipolar ll and put me on lamictal to even things out!.!.!.so far it has worked like a charm!. I am still on lexapro but no longer makes me anxious!.
As far as the effexor goes, that stuff is evil!.!.!.in my opinion!Www@Answer-Health@Com
