Question: How much money ($US) do antidepressents cost!?
I do not have health insurance, and have a very limited income!. I believe I suffer from some sort of depression, and hate living life like this!. I am looking for some help, but scared of the financial cost, not to mention the humiliation!.

My doctor visit was more expensive then the medications!. I was able to get my antidepressants at wal-mart for $4 dollars a piece so I only pay $8 everytime!! That's without insurance!.!.
My doctor was willing to help me by having me on a payment plan even though I am paying like $10 a month till I can pay it all off!
I was surprised they wanted to help so bad!. I am not sure how I went about to getting all this but I'm sure if and when you find a doctor and explain your financial state they would be willing to help and work something out with you!

Most states offer some sort of medical assistance program!. Call your county's Human Services department and ask what they have available!.
As far as the costs are concerned, it varies widely!. However, most of the large retailers (ie, Walmart, Target) offer a month's worth of most generic antidepressants for $5 or so!.
