Question: Binge Drinking!.!?
hi!. idk what to do!? my dad binge drinks!. i am 11 years old!. see my dad drink everyday and there is nothing i can do to stop him!. each night i see how my mum and sister try and help him to his bed!. me being the youngest and the weakest is really hard!. everytime try to suggest any idea my sister snaps at me saying that won't work!. what should i do!. or what should we do!? he won't go to rehab either!. i really need everyones help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i am sorry you are having to go through this and i know it must be very painful for you seeing your dad like this!.i want to let you know he has to be the one to admit having a problem,sometimes it takes awhile for a person to admit that they are powerless over something and want to get help for it!.if there's any alonon meetings in your area,maybe you,the sis and mom can attend one to help you better understand your father addiction!.please know you are not alone as i have watched the how alcohol effected my family too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Is there a teacher or counsellor at your school that you can talk to, to make sure there is someone there who is aware of the situation and how it may be affecting you!. you could try and find out if there is a support group near you that could help you all out!. near where i live there are a couple of organisations that can help relatives and carers f someone who has an alcohol problem and offer them the support you need, and help you find ways to cope with your dads behaviour!.
your mum probably knows how hard this is for you and that may be why she gets angry - beacuse she doesnt know how to help you!.

If I were you, I'd be scared!. Anyway, here's my adive!. Talk to your Dad!. You think it's really bad, and you don't want him to go away!.(This can only work if he loves your family!.!.!.NOT SAYING HE DOESN'T!.!.!.!.!.I'll stop now!.!.!.!.) Drinking can cause cancer you know!? Also, your mom has the most power over this!. Your mom can confront him!. If NOTHING works!. You could try a threat!. (Yes i'm sorry for suggesting this, but my parents do it to me when I'm bad XD)!. You really want to help him, but if he keeps refusing it, even though you care the dear out of him, you can't help him, only he can!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Sorry you have to see that!. Some people say alcoholism is a disease!. I'm not here to say it is or it isn't, but your dad has a bad problem and he won't fix it on his own!. Just ask your mom if you can help her stay strong because she needs your help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
